I just called Carole from Burton's and setup an appointment to order my dress. July 5th is the big day....do I just bring me, myself an I? Any pointers?
Wow, I sounds so stupid....I just don't know if I should bring anything or wear anything special (strapless, etc)....I'm not trying on the dress, just getting measured to order it.....

I ordered my dress from there also. They measure you in your street clothes, so you can wear whatever! they were very helpful and have the best prices!!

YAY that is exciting...hmmm i got measured as soon as i took the dress off so i was in my bra and underwear, but they can do it in street clothes

i have my fitting on thursday!!! Im soooooooo excited... I am getting fitted on a year from our wedding date.

Should i buy shoes?? How high should my heels be? is 2-3 inches too much? should i just wear ballet slippers?

I went in with the slip and bra i was wearing and the shoes i was wearing this way the measurement was exact. I would at least have your shoes to wear so they can do from H x H

i would just wear your regular clothes..but nothing to big on u like no sweatshirts or whatever (tho in this weather id doubt ud have it on!) haha and id bring shoes that have about the same kinda heel you are planning on getting just in case

oh stop - - -enjoy this time!!! I heard due to the extent of stress you loss 5 -10 pounds during the planning process. It happened to 3 of my girlfriends - - - -gosh I hope it happens to me

2 inch heels are much more comfortable than 3 inch (although i LOVE high shoes bc i am so short). it is all your preference though. i really found that low heels were more comfy though.

you will be fine! just wear regular clothes. prob nothing too thick or baggy, but it's summer so i doubt you would be wearing that anyway. congrats on ordering your dress!!!
