Scissor happy anyone?

Original post by Goldie39

Here's another question for you lovely ladies.
I notice that there seems to be a trend that after you get married, you get a newly wed chop. Do u plan on doing this and what are your honest opinions about it? No hard feelings!

i've had the beckham cut before, i loe having my hair short. my hair dresser is always trying new short cuts on me. i let my hair grow for my brothers wedding because my SIL wanted the hair to be half up, so i needed to. i havents figured out what i want to do yet. my hair dresser want me to let it grow for the weddings (she wants me to start now!!) but i think ill do at least one more short and then let it grow. but i will cut it off again after because i like my hair short so much better

Im gonna chop it all off right after the wedding...I have been planning to donate my hair for the past 2 years and am only putting it off for the wedding so I can style it...but after the wedding I am keeping my promise to myself and donating the hair to Panteen (not locks of love) so that I can help a cancer patient

wow that shade of red is gorgeous!!! looks great!

awww thank you so much yeah i love that shade, the only problem with red is it fades so quick. It was even a bit darker than that but a week later it got lighter and within a month looked more like strawberry blonde. Red is actually more of an upkeep than blonde which is the only problem.

Love that shade of red!!! I am always dying my hair deep red-thats the color i like my hair the best-but like you said it doesn't last too long-i go between blonde, brown, and red. So i'm still trying to decide on what hair color i should have for the wedding

my hair was over processed too but i stopped dying it like 4 years ago and cut off all the damaged stuff so now its ok...however i heard somewhere that you still can donate dyed hair...not 100% on that but someone recently mentioned that to me

i know it S*CKS, years ago it used to stay in your hair but years ago they took out this chemical from red hair dye and thats why it doesnt last anymore. HOWEVER, if you can get your hands on some european red hair dye, now that lasts a long time and wont fade bc they still have that chemical in it.

no, not allowed. FH doesn't like short hair. plus short hair makes me look even younger. i'll probably just trim of more than usual. have been growing it out for the wedding.

Again... Amanda'a FH said exactly what my FH did. Shorter is fine. SHORT is not. I am going to keep it trimmed and shoulder-length. I look better with the long-ish hair.

I'm the same way! I look awful with super short hair, and havent had anythng shorter than chin length since 4th grade. I'm hoping after I chop 8' that it will still be shoulder length.... and if not, it will grow!
