Scott Peterson

The judge is allowing the trial to be moved to L.A. Because he doesnt feel he will get a fair trial. A FAIR TRIAL. First of all he killed his poor wife and son. He will get the same trial no matter where he goes. I HATE THIS MAN. I hope he rotts in jail Forever. They should murder him like he murdered them! LOSER!!!! I cant believe they even allowed this.

I can't believe anyone would think the man is innocent.

I agree with you June26

you could move his trial to the other side of the world and i still think he would be found guilty. innocent men don't change their hair color and flee with $10k in cash to the border.

I dont believe that they know where it is being moved yet. They think it will stay driving distance from Modesto, but out of Stanislaus county. Whether he did it or not, everyone is entitled to a fair trial. I personally didnt believe he would get one in Modesto, as the judge thought also. They are trying to cover all grounds for appeal.

Based on the hard evidence ..... oh wait, there is no evidence!!! I can't believe they even arrested him.

All we really know about this man is that he cheated on his wife while she was pregnant. Lots of people cheat on their spouse without killing them. Think about the people you know who have cheated. Are they necessarily murderers???

I think it was whoever killed the other pregnant woman in the same time frame in that area.

By the way, he wasn't fleeing. He was going to his parents house and the police acknowledge that where they stopped him 'heading towards the Mexican border' was right near his parents house.

The media has turned this case into a circus.

They should move him to a furnace and dispose of his ass

Re: Scott Peterson

I personally think he did it, but who can be sure without the trial. I am not sure that there is no 'hard evidence', there obviously was enough for a grand jury to indite him. All the evidence will not come out until there is a trial.
I think it is best that it was moved because it eliminates one reason for appeal after the trial.

Re: Scott Peterson

He was going to this parents and he just so happened to have
10,000 on him and coincidentially had dyed his hair.
And that was a dye job

Re: Scott Peterson

My gut feeling is that he's guilty guilty guilty-but you can convict based on a gut feeling.

I'm glad that the trial venue was changed-less chance for a bs appeal further down the road.

I can't stand the way the media is covering this! Like Becky said, it's become a circus. Everyone is entitled to a fair, just trial. I wonder if its possible at this point?

ETS-I meant to say you CAN'T convict based on a gut feeling...

Exactly!! I don't think moving it will change anything. Look at all us here who think he did it. Same all over....won't change a thing.

10 bucks he gets off for not enough evidence

Re: Scott Peterson

I am not sure about the money that he had on him because at first they said he had cash, then there were conflicting stories on the amount he had or what he had. And I couldn't figure out if he had dyed his hair the day before or three weeks before, which I think makes a difference.

Hard evidence = physical, tangible evidence. All they have is circumstantial evidence which could convice the whole country that the man is a lowlife. I mean really, cheating on your wife while she is pregnant with your child. What as a$$. But I just don't see anything pointing to murder. Especially in light of a similar killing that he has not connection to whatsoever.

At the core of our country's foundation is the belief that everyone is entitled to a fair trial. He deserves one as much as we think he's a ****bag, which he is just for cheating on his wife, let alone killing her.

It's hard to believe he didn't do it but stranger things have happened.

this is what it comes down to...if it wasn't changed...there could easily be an appeal and that costs the state MORE money...the judge absolutely did the right thing...but it will not be LA...It has to be in driving distance to Modesto and near a major airport...SF, Oakland, Sacramento, Stockton, Fresno, San Jose and San Mateo are the cities being discussed...

about the border...remember his parents live in San Diego - which is 15 miles from the Mexican border!!! I easily can come close to the border on any shopping excursion I do...

another point...2 other pregnant women were killed in the Bay area around the same time...I don't think Scott Peterson is a serial killer

There is evidence in favor of his acquittal...there is a man who saw Laci in the park walking her dog...not sure if Scott has someone that puts him in a specific place at a specific time...haven't done too much research...

I agree that the media has made this case a circus...It reminds me of Gary Condit...when there is no news...they will hype up something...and maybe since I am in SD - the news media sympathizes with his family a bit more and doesn't show or explain certain events the same...

TOTALLY AGREE.....
This decision is not a victory for the defense....There isn't a town in the US that doesn't know his face and know what he is suspected of doing....
This decision just ensures that an appeal granted on the basis of a biased jury due to geographic's will not happen....THANK GOD!

That being said....I think he did it. Am I sure? No, obviously not....who can be sure?

I do find the fact that he was driving 'wherever' with 10K in cash having died his hair is suspicious....

I also think the fact that they found Laci's hair stuck to a pair of pliars (sp?) found in his boat is also suspicous....

I don't know...who knows, like I said....I think he did it - but all that I can hope for is that Laci's family gets justice...

And Laci's blood that was found in his boat was from????
