For your additional deposits after you booked the hall, are you allowed to use a credit card for the payments? I just found out Chateau Briand doesn’t allow that yet it doesn’t state it in the contract. I am going to home and re-read the contract but I am pretty sure it doesn’t say anything about that except for the final payment.

Any CB brides had the same problem? This is really annoying as I wanted to put a payment on Amex to get miles and I can’t do that.

I was told from the beginning they would not take the CCs.
We paid all our deposits by Check, and final payment will be Certified Check.
If they think they are getting cash, they are nuts

I think it kind of makes sense though. If I were them, I don't care how much I was making, I still wouldn't want to risk problems because someone paid thousands of dollars on their credit card and then started disputing it!

I'm in sales and I've provided services for clients and they've paid with credit cards and after someone paid 500 dollars and everything was fine, out of nowhere, they disputed the charge
It was a real pain to dispute it back and stop them from screwing us over. That was only 500- I can't imagine thousands?!?

And I asked 2 of my close friends who are getting married- not at a Scotto Brothers hall and they told me their hall said the same thing, so there we are...:
