SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

Original post by Suzanne

I went last night, and it was a cute little store, but there wasnt much. I think she is just getting it going. It was of course more expensive than micheals or target, like for instance I bought an album 12X12 post bound at target for 14.00 and she had it for 18.25. The stickers were priced ok, a little more expensive than micheals. But they were VERY nice, I explained to her that I did not know how to do brads beads and eyelets and she told me to come back any other day this week when her sister is in and she will teach me free of charge.. I am very EXCITED about that. cause i want to buy this 1200 piece embellishment kit on QVC.

Over all, its a great place if you live close and need something, and they have all sorts of classes and crop nights. I will definatly go back there. I didnt expect the store to be as cheap as micheals, since its just a mom and pop store, and since its so close to me its a great place to go when your in a pinch.

I want to check out scrapbook alley. Maybe ill do that this weekend.

I like the Herafix one only because I have never been to a CM party and have not used their products.

The hermafix dispenser is $12.99 with 1000 tabs and the refills are $6.99 for 1000 tabs. I do not know how much the CM one is

Yes, Lisa that was me:)

And Suzanne emailed me to say hi:)

I was surprised that the responses are emailed vs. posted on the board.

I just ordered one of the CM tape things you are talking about. I'll let you know how it is, I should have it next week.

Christine...the reason you got so many individual emails is because when people respond...they need to change the 'TO' box to read to go to the group instead of the individual!! People do that all the time!!

Lisa and christine, I get the emails, but never found the board again..

Christine, let me know how the tape disp. works. thanks!

Re: SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

Lisa, I got the gist of that. There was a thread in there where someone was posting to the group and not the board or vice versa. I'll have to figure it out.

Suzanne - Will do!! Lisa psoted the site in the thread on the NW board. I don't know it off hand.

Re: SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

Suzanne ~ LOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

We are the same way - DH is a big A/V nut. He bought a portable CD player last night so that warrented an extra stop at Michaels for me:)

I got that paper/sticker binder thing to get all that stuff in order. I can never find anything when I need and I know I am missing some letter squares I bought for our wedding album.

I don't even want to know how much money I spent on scrapping. I know it's over well over $400 (well well well over;).

I love the paper! Some of it is so pretty I can't bring myself to use it:D

The worst part is I bought so much stuff in haste that I dont think I will use now.

Re: SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

Lisa - DH's post office box was getting bombarded there for a while. I was in swaps, placed orders and bought some hand made pieces for a benefit. It was great for me getting GOOD mail, but DH was going to the post office window everyday, sometimes twice...LOL

Re: SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

Christine, i do the same thing.. but i always think ill use it!! LOL

I want so bad to get some kind of a card table with an organizers and stuff but in my APT i have no room.. when i buy a house i cant wait, i am setting up a craft room with a nice tv and radio and ill never leave it!!

Do you have one of those totes organziers?

Re: SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

That is hilarious Frank wants to do a page!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, I feel that by purchasing one of those Crop In Style bags would be admitting I have a real problem...hahahaha

I did just get the sticker binder last night. It has those divided page protectors so all the small stuff (headers, stickers, tags, etc) are in a single layer you can flip through.

And I also got one of those drawer/bin organizers for all the eyelets, brads, buttons, fibers, etc.

Then I have a box to put all the tools, punches, etc ANd a bunch of those 12x12 envelopes with all my paper, sorted by color group.

(You can see I don't have a problem, right??? hhahahahahaa)

I dream of having my own scrap space. Right now I work on the DR or LR table and store everything in the corner of the DR or on a closet shelf. DH already knows that any place we buy going forward has to have a space for me to scrap and other crafts that I like.

On my scrapbboking MB they have pictures of their scrap rooms - some of them look like stores. I am so jealous

Re: SCRAPBOOK STORE IN WANTAGH

What is scrapbooking MB?

I cant wait to purchase a home, cause no matter what we will at least get 3 bedrooms and I will definatly turn one into a scraproom and frank can have one as an office, then we will eventually have kids and frank will have to forfit his office

You are way more organized than me, i have one of those 4 draw carts that is on wheels and i have stuff just piled in.. but up until this weekend i had all my stuff in a BURBERRY box

The tv is a big thing for me, i need to have it in the backround to work, i put in a movie i have seen a million times so i dont have to keep my eye on it, like the wedding singer, and i scrap.. drives frank nuts but it works for me..

I cant wait to get a nice table and a comfy chair...

i wanna see the pics of those rooms..

I cant wait till the scrapbook convention when we can meet and share our books..
