Sea Chest/Memory Chest

Sea Chest/Memory Chest

So I showed FH what Laura did for her cardbox and showed him the ebay site yada yada. While he liked it, said he wants a sea chest. Guy is killing me. So I see that Michaels has a memory chest that looks exactly like what we need. Has anyone seen this in person? Is it large enough to accept cards? Was it expensive? Don't no where else to go for a chest. Do you?

TIA

I found these if you want them to look more wedding-y:

Ivory Treasure Chest Card Box

I wasn't looking for price... I was only looking at pictures.

Or these for a more nautical but elegant feel:

Etsy - Treasure Chest w/ Seashells

Again, I was just looking at pictures, not price.

Thanks so much for searching for me. Found this....FH has decided on this and that's what he wants. Called him a Groomzilla. Gonna knock him out I swear.

That's really pretty and will go great with your colors!!

I feel you... FH and I had a 30 minute conversation on how his budgets for individual vendors do not match up to his budget of 20,000.00! We already spent 13,000.00 on the RH, flowers, and church... and he wants to spend 5K on photo and video too.

Then the lightbulb went on and he said: Well, Oh, that's why I let you handle the budget.

We are going to have to research our azzes off for video photo dj and limo. My FH with his champagne tastes and beer pockets. But boy, does he know what he wants.

LMAO Tell me about it! I really like our theme and I understand he has a a vision of what our wedding should look like......but feel like he's nixed some ideas that I really like. We know what are budget is and both know we gotta keep our champagne tastes in check Ours is an issue of design I guess. Always pictured myself walking down the aisle to the opening cords of Stairway to Heaven, but he wants me to walk down to Here Comes the Bride. Stuff like that. Told him how I felt today and he felt really bad. Said he's just excited about the wedding and has the ideas in his head. I understand........we're just one big ball of understanding

I think you guys are secretly videotaping us at home! FH is so funny about it once we talk about what's going on...He's always like 'Oh, I never knew you felt that way.' He also just gets so excited and he wants to make sure I hear all his ideas. We always find something we both like.. it just takes some looking. He's got such a clear idea of what he wants... whereas I don't...

I haven't even begun to think about what I'm walking down the aisle to... wow... I never even knew how many decisions ever had to be made at a wedding!

Yeah. Love the fact that he's so excited. He was so adamant about not getting married again that when he asked I was floored but also was worried he'd change his mind. Seeing how excited and involved he is, can't explain how amazing that makes me feel. Think that's why I don't freak out when he nixes my ideas. And his ideas really are great.

aww, i love how involved he is..he's definitely a keeper! I have seen the treasure box done before but it wasn't used for cards. The person who did it used it to put in certain momentums from their relationship and childhood. I like your idea for using it as a card box better though because i don't know how i feel about sacred items out in the open.

i'm still torn over whether to do the card box, i probably will though.

Yeah, he's definitely a keeper. Don't know what I did to deserve him after all the other shltheads i've dated but i must have made someone happy up there for them to bring him into my life. He really is a great guy odd idiosyncrasies and all

The more I look at that chest, the more excited I get. It really does look cool. He's all about decorating it now too. God I love that man.
