sealing invites

How are you girls sealing your invite envelopes? Are you licking them shut or using a monogram to close them?

neither.

I bought a few rolls of double-sided Scotch Tape and it was the BEST decision. The outer envelopes looked very neat that way. I didn't want to get involved with dampening them or using a glue stick; I was worried it would make a mess and ruin my letterpress invites!

another simple..yet great idea ! I think I will just do that also. I dont want to use a monogram but dont want to sit there and lick 150 invites ! THANKS!

I went with a glue stick.. So simple and easy and worked like a charm!

We used a glue stick and I really wish we wouldn't have. Several people told us they literally had to rip the envelope to shreds to get to the invite. Luckily, we had pocketfolds so they invites didn't rip!

IMO I would just use a damp paper towel or use the double sided tape.

I used a glue stick and added a custom envelope seal that I made on zazzle.com ( it was one of our E-pics with our name and wedding date on them...) I change the pic to sepia tone ( to match our ivory envelopes) and used green font ( to match the calligraphy)

They were a huge hit! my invites went out 7/2 and I have gotten countles texts/ email saying how unique and cute they were!
