This is my first post here although i have been following for a while. I am still searching for a perfect venue and feel as though I am running out of time since I am trying to plan for next sept. Already saw East Wind, Swan Club, CHCC, Windows on the Lake, Russos on the Bay..none were 'the One'..
Going to see Thatched cottage this weekend...any thoughts for those who have seen it? I havent been able to find many good pictures...
Any other suggestions would be great! I am looking for 1 wedding at a time, somewhere with pretty outside space, either gardens or water, for about 150 people and not over $150 (tax/tip included) for sat night.
Thanks for the help in advance :)

Re: Searching for perfect venue...
Try Milleridge Cottage. It is located in Jericho. They have a beautiful area outside where the CH room is and it is one wedding at a time. I think it might fit your budget. HTH and Good Luck!

The Bourne Mansion or any of the other Lessing's properties. My cousin was married there and it was gorgeous!!!

Riviera in Massapequa sounds like it's right up your alley. Here's my review if you want to read about it, I was really happy with our experience there.
I'm biased, but take a look at North Ritz Club It's one wedding at a time and has a gorgeous outdoor area with gardens AND a fountain. And the service can't be beat.

Also biased, but Carlyle on the Green. Beautiful gazebo for the ceremony, outdoor patio for the CH overlooking the golf course. I'm not sure what their pricing is for Saturday night but doesn't hurt to ask.

I loved Thatched Cottage but it was out of our budget (not the only reason we didn't book it). Millerage Cottage is also great (they didn't have our date). I would go see them both. We looked at a ton of places. You will know it when you find 'the one'. Good Luck!

I also loved Carlyle on the Green but a Saturday night is pretty expensive there.

I second Old Field Club!! It's extremely secluded and intimate, but if you think you're definitely going to have 150 it might be a little tight.
