Seating chart question...

When the time comes...

Do I seat my parents with FH's parents?

Can I split up FH's parents from his siblings?

Our tables fit 10 and I'm thinking there's only going to be about 10 people from NY at our out of state reception.

Can I just keep his family together? I dont want to feel like I'm keeping them all separate?

i haven't started working on my chart yet, but i think i'm going to seat my parents w/ all my aunts and uncles and FH's parents with their side of the family...i think they would prefer it that way lol

Same here.

Each of our parents (my mom, my dad, and DH's parents) hosted their own table. All of our siblings sat together at one of our BP tables.

ETA: I left it up to the parents who they wanted to sit with. I told them each they could have up to 12 people at their table and to tell me who they wanted at that table.

I didn't seat our parents together. I figured they'd want to sit with their families so they can entertain them. DH's family was all the tables on one side of the room and my family was all the tables on the other and friends mixed in. DH's siblings didn't sit with his parents since they are older, but my brother and sister did sit with my parents.

ETA: I didn't seat the WP all together. It would've been impossible as there's 15 of them and most had dates. We had 3 separate tables with WP members and some regular guests mixed in. Also, my bro n sis were in the WP but sat at my parents' table.

We both have two 'head' tables- my family on my side (my parents, grandma, aunts/uncles) and then his family (his parents).

We seperated our siblings from their parents. My sister is 14 andmy bro is 20 and I know they'd much rather sit with my cousins who are their age than with my parents
