seating help UPDATED-NEW QUESTION

FH and I and my parents are all having different thoughts on how to set up the tables. Below is an image of the room format/table placements. Seeing the setup, where would you expect the parents to be??? tables 1 - 4 or at tables A, B, C & D?

UPDATED QUESTION:
seems more people agree they should be at tables 1-4. FH and i are on the same page BUT my mother is saying she wants to be across from us. DO i pull the bride card and tell her too bad or let her have her way??? She is paying for half of the wedding....

I picked the tables next to you. We are doing immediate family closest to us. Our room isn't set up this way though. The sweetheart table is on its own at the head of the room.

Edited for grammar

Re: seating help

This is the exact set up we had and we placed our families on table 1-4.

Re: seating help

I want them at tables 1 - 4 and my parents were ok with it UNTIL we met with the RH last night. Our banquet manager told them the best tables are tables a-d bc they have a view of us all night. but i am arguing with my mom that we wont be sitting most of the night. i want to have my friends at tables a-d this way they are up on the dance floor and the people in the back of the room (older people, work friends etc) will still have a view of the dance floor and stuff.

Who cares what the banquet manager says...Unless your family wants to stare at you guys all night. The whole point is to be up all night dancing and greeting not seating down.

are you in the plaza room too???

FH is being difficult now though and saying he doesnt want his family near the DJ (tables 1 & 2)

I would put my family on that side, but we have divorced parents so that is 2 tables, plus my sister (MOH) will be at a diff family table so i need the side with three tables

Re: seating help

i would probably put the parents directly next to you and then younger people (bridal party) at 1 and 4, since 1 is right next to the DJ

yeah, im in the plaza room

you know, i didnt even think about that. makes sense to keep the old people away from the music though

every BP ive ever been in though i've always been in the table right next to the bride and the groom

how much space is it really from the table to the DJ though?

it's not right on top of the speaker is it?

we cant do a BP table - we need all 4 tables for families (divorced!) so realistically one table will be near the DJ, but i dont think its right on top of the speaker (at least i hope not lol)

so then maybe A-D would be a better choice for the families, that way you can have BP tables by you

i'd ask those involved though sorry

I say if your mom WANTS to sit at A-D, then let them sit there

that way you can put BP tables near you

you might want to survey your FILs too and see how they feel about it
