If you are having kids at the reception are you seating them at a seperate kids table or is the parents punishment for bringing them that they have to sit with them?

Re: Seating Kids At The Reception
I think it depends on how old the kids are and how many kids you are having. We're not having any kids... just my niece and two nephews so they'll sit with my sister since they're all under 7 years old then probably leaving early with a babysitter.
If the kids are 10 and older and there's a bunch of them you can sit them at a table so they can play and have fun.

I am seating them with their parents but I think most of the kids will leave early with sitters.

Re: Seating Kids At The Reception
Well all the kids that are coming are cousins (on both sides) so they'll sit with their cousins at a separate table from their parents, and all the aunts and uncles will sit together.

Re: Seating Kids At The Reception
um, my aunt has 6 kids...yes, six of them, ranging from 12 down to 2....ages 12, 11, 7, 6, 4, and 2
If I don't sit her kids with her, then the kids will be constantly getting up, and coming to her table to see her, they won't sit by themselves, so I need to sit at least that family together...so out of a 10 person table, they fill 8 spots...
god bless my aunt!

Re: Seating Kids At The Reception
We have just enough 'kids' to fill one table. That is my brothers, sister, our kids and my FG. If I were having more kids at the wedding they'd be sitting w/ their parents. Let them ruin their night.....

Re: Seating Kids At The Reception
I was having the same dilema I think under 6 I might sit w/ their parents with a few extra seats at the kids table. I think my daughter might want to sit with the ringbearer, they will be 6. But my other FG is only going to be 3. I will prob sit younger kids with their babysitters (mostly grandparents) I'm going to try to put as many things as I can to keep the kids occupied so the adults can have some fun. The hard part is going to position the kids table so the adults can see them!!! TOO MANY DECISIONS!!!!!!! Let me know what you come up with.

Re: Seating Kids At The Reception
for the older kids, maybe sit them with the parents?? I'm not too sure. We're hiring a nanny service for our guests to use. We rented out a room for this at the hotel which is upstairs from our RH. We think it will work out pretty well

Re: Seating Kids At The Reception
we had them seated with their parents, they were up and about dancing the whole night anyway, i dont think i saw them seated for more than 5 minutes at a time. I really wouldn't put too much energy into figuring out their seating.

Re: Seating Kids At The Reception
The kids invited to our wedding are 10 and over, so all of them should be capable of sitting by themselves. (I hope)

i'm having three 3 year olds and one 7 year old. I figure at the reception they'll spend most of their time dancing except for dinner.

We are having a kids table wth kids ranging from ages about 5-12. My mom's friend has a 2 daughters - ones 16 and the other 20 and we are paying them to come hang out and sit with the kids, take them to the bathroom etc so that the parents dont have to worry too much about them!
