Second thoughts on my wedding band- need advice

Second thoughts on my wedding band- need advice

Hi Ladies...I need some reassurance/advice here.
I am having some major second thoughts about my wedding band (all pics in my album)

I adore my e-ring. Its handmade and exactly what I wanted...but NO wedding band goes with it. I have a gap no matter what and everything seems to take away from it.

I already decided that I don't want an insert, cos it hides the work in the basket and I am not sure that I like a curved band...

so that leaves me with two options:

the ring I bought, which is substantial, blingy and can be worn on its own but doesnt really 'match' my e ring or...

a thin band that matches the band on e ring, which leaves a little to be desired and probably wont be worn on its own....but it'll be a matching set

what do you think i should do?

TIA!!!

In my honest opinion. The band does not go well with your E-ring. I think it's not the 'right' bling. I dunno you can just tell it doesn't go together. I would try for something else. However both pieces are gorgeous. I would keep the band if for sure I was wearing them separately

both rings are nice but imho i do agree that they do not fit well together. why not just wear the ering on your right hand and your band on the left? that is what i plan to do bc mine totally do NOT go together but my band has sentimental value (passed down from my great grandmother).
here is mine which is why i am wearing them on diff hands...

I would go with a band that goes with your e-ring so you can wear them together. That's what I'm doing.

Our rings are VERY similar. I'm doing a simple/matching wedding band because I feel like my e-ring is so gorgeous that I didn't want anything to take away from it. I also have no intention of ever not wearing my e-ring.

or maybe you can wear your e-ring on the right hand, and this wedding band on the left?

thanks girls for your kind and honest responses...i have definitely considered moving my e-ring to my right hand..but that is going to be a last resort, if i really cant find something and if i really don't like how a matching band looks...

ugh well see

ITA - i have a similar ring as well and plan on getting a matching band - even though it will be thin and relatively simple looking. i just love the way a matching set looks, especially when the ering is so gorgeous like yours

Go to Elsa in Farmindale. She customized both our bands to match my e-ring and it looks amazing!!!!

I liked the simple wedding band idea, we're getting matching bands and I think that's really cute. You def. don't want to take away for your gorgeous e-ring

ask your jeweler what they reccommend.

I would find another band if you are going to wear your e-ring a lot. They really do not flow together but are both great as seperate rings KWIM

I think that if you want to wear your engagement ring every day you should return the wedding band you have and find one that matches. If you want to keep the wedding band you have you could wear your engagement ring on one hand and the wedding band on the other.

I have a similar e-ring--just with a round stone. I chose a band that doesnt fit with my e-ring. I wear my e-ring on my right hand and the band on the left. I like it better bc I have bling on both hands now

this is what i plan on doing because my e-ring is really intricate, but my wedding band is a regular eternity band

Re: Second thoughts on my wedding band- need advice

i have to agree with the other girls...both rings are gorgeous!

but they def do not go...I think a simpler band just like the one on your ering will look perfect and beautiful!

I dont like the idea of wearing them on different hands but thats just me

you could always get the bigger band later on as an anniversary present and wear it on the right

have u actually tried an insert band? maybe it wont come up so high around the middle?

go take some pics at the jeweler with your other options and well help you! we all love to see the bling!
