Seeing another bride at your reception

I was speaking to a friend of mine as I am in the process of selecting a reception site. Most of the places I will be considering hold more than one event at a time. My friend remarked that it would 'really bother' her to see another bride at her reception. Would it or has it (for those already married) bother you to see another bride on your wedding day? Personally it would not bother me. But maybe there is a perspective I am not considering. Thanks for your input?

I wanted a place with only one wedding at a time- personal reasons.

But i have to say that when we were at one particular catering hall- they promised up and down that we would not see the other wedding when we were there- the rooms were right next to each other.

anyway- when we were walking out- the two bridal parties and brides were walking past each other!

so muich for that!

i dont think it would bother me all that much!

I saw another bride on my day and it didn't bother me in the least. We both smiled at eachother and continued on our merry way. I think it's a little silly to be bothered because it's 'your day'.

Me too. I never really thought about it, but I don't think it would bother me.

Honestly, and this is just the way I think, I have this notion in my head that its 'my day'. I think it would really bother me if I saw another bride at my reception hall. One of my priorities (and everyone differs) was to have a reception hall that caters to one event at a time. This way I know the grounds, the rooms, the bathrooms, even the workers are all catering to my affair and no one else. I figured if Im dishing out all that money, the attention should be on me
