Seeing the groom before the ceremony?

Seeing the groom before the ceremony?

So I've been calling limo companies and i'm shocked at how expensive it is to rent two limo's for five hours (to take us to church and back to reception ). So I'm thinking of just getting one 18 passenger escalade or hummer to take us all and save some money, but this means that me and fh will see eachother. How do you girls feel about this? Is it really a big deal to see eachother before the ceremony?

we're doing a reveal photo.. and then all our photos 2 hours before the ceremony. It's just easier and I refuse to miss my cocktail hour.

I'm not sure how far away you will be from the church and RH, but you should be able to get away with one limo making two trips - thats what FH and I are doing. The limo is picking the guys up first, and then coming to my location to bring the girls, this way he does not see me until we have our 'moment'. We might, however, do a few pictures before the ceremony anyway, since everything is at one location for us and we want to catch at least some of our cocktail hour.

Reading this back to myself, it doesn't make much sense, but in my little warped mind, it does, lol ... I hope it helps either way!

Re: Seeing the groom before the ceremony?

I was in the same spot as u are now, but in my case it wasn't because of limos, it was because I was gonna have the ceremony in the venue, which meant I had to see FH before the ceremony if we wanted to take pics (since ceremony is right before CH) Nowdays, it's totally normal seeing the groom before the ceremony, however I didn't really wanna do this, for me it was very important that FH would see me at the end of the aisle for the 1st time. I've always loved looking at the groom's expression when they see their brides for the 1st time walking down the aisle, for me that's specific moment is priceless, so we ended up booking the ceremony in a church, take pics after the ceremony, and then go to the venue.

If u decide to see FH before ceremony, u can always have what photographers call 'the reveal' which usually is just the bride and the groom seeing each other for the 1st time.

We are only getting one limo. It is picking the groom and his GM and bringing them to the church. Then, it is coming to get me at my house. Then we will all go together to the reception hall. Check out Royalty limos! They were very accommodating with multiple stops!

tell me about it, I might have them drive themselves in a big SUV or something... SORRY! and then have the limo take us for photos and back to the reception. We are lucky our church is like five mins from his dads house. Look into two of the guys driving him to church who arent in the weddign party photos, then share the limo afterwards

We just did this for my sister's wedding, and it worked great.

Why do you have to see each other? We are only getting one Partybus for the whole BP and the bus is going to pick FH and the GMs up first and drop them off at the church and then come to my mom's house, pick me and the BMs up and then drop us off.

Is it possible for you to do that or is the distance a factor?

If you can't do it, there's no harm in seeing him before. Lots of people are doing it so they can get the pictures done first and out of the way.

We are getting seperate limos to the venue> Ceremony and Everything are at the same place!
We will do a reveal shot when we arrive and we are taking our photos before the Ceremony, so we dont miss our CH. So we will be seeing each other which is fine with us. We are also signing the Ketubah, so we have to see each other before, regardless!

Why don't you have the limo company first take him to the ceremony and then come back and pick you up...that way you will avoid seeing him before?????

This!

I don't want FH and I to see each other for the first time when I'm walking down the aisle. I want to see each other during the reveal and have that special moment
