Seeing the groom before the ceremony?

I'm seeing my groom before the wedding because it made the most sense for us. We are taking pics prior to the ceremony and I think regardless of whether your groom is seeing you @ the ceremony or before pics...that moment when he sets his eyes on you will be memorable.

I originally was SET on not seeing groom before the wedding but know that we have decided to have pics before...I'm actually lloking forward to it. I think by seeing each other prior and taking pics...etc, it will allow us to TRULY enjoy our day. Hope this helps!

We're doing a Princess rolls that will take me and mom to the ceremony and me and (then) DH to the reception!!!

And ONE stretch limo to pick up FH and the guys and drop them off at church before coming to my house to get the girls to bring them to church, and will bring the whole BP to the reception.

It's all costing us under $900

So I've been calling limo companies and i'm shocked at how expensive it is to rent two limo's for five hours (to take us to church and back to reception ). So I'm thinking of just getting one 18 passenger escalade or hummer to take us all and save some money, but this means that me and fh will see eachother. How do you girls feel about this? Is it really a big deal to see eachother before the ceremony?

Why don't you have the limo company first take him to the ceremony and then come back and pick you up...that way you will avoid seeing him before?????

BTW 2 smaller limos might still be cheaper than 1 escalade anyway.

This is one tradition I refuse to break!
Limo is taking me and the girls to RH (ceremony is at the same place) for all our pics and then it will go pick up FH and GMs and before they arrive I'll be tucked away. They'll do their pics then ceremony and then we are doing a few group shots and extended out cocktail hour by 30 mins so we can make it to half. I don't want too many portrait shots since I'm more of a fan for the candid/photo journalistic style so this works for us.

We did a 'viewing' before the ceremony and thank goodness we did so we had time for the pictures. I do have one thought though that might help you on this.

Would it be possible for the limo to pick up the groom, drop off the groomsmen, and then come and pick you and the girls up and bring you to the church? Then the 1 limo can hang around and then all of you can ride in the limo together to the reception. Does that make sense? While we did the 'viewing' before the ceremony it was because the ceremony was at the same place as the reception and there was no in between time. So the limo picked the girls up, we took pictures while the limo went and picked up the boys after we got dropped off. Then the limo dropped off the boys and left. The company will charge you at least for 3 hours no matter what so try to make it so that the limo is there for 3 hours!

if you dont wanna see him before the ceremony, then do two trips. thats what we did, the bus picked up dh and the GMs at his house, dropped them at the church, then picked up me and my girls and brought us, then we all drove together.


try contacting red carpet limo. out of everyone they were the most affordable!
and transtar in deer park.

thanks for all your help girls, I don't think the limo picking one of us up and then the other one is an option because the church is a half hour away and I think that's too much. But I think we will do a reveal I like that idea.

we're doing a reveal photo.. and then all our photos 2 hours before the ceremony. It's just easier and I refuse to miss my cocktail hour.

We haven't arranged transportation from getting ready places to the church or back to hotel from reception. We only booked the limo from church to reception for now because I have no idea what the plan is.

Why don't you just lock down the limo for 3 hours (after ceremony, to take pics, then to reception before CH) and figure out the other stuff later?

just have the limo pick up the guys first and drop them off at the church and then pick you up and drop you off.

ovbiosuly if you are very far away from the church this might not work, but you can try
