I dont think it;selfish at all. I picked mine out. It's an expensive purchase..and I didnt even know what I wanted...so figured FH would never know. I think it's totally fine to pick it out.

I picked my ring out too. I don't think that's selfish, I think it's practical. FH is spending a lot of money it should be something I love!

I had mine custom made by a jeweler friend!! I have to wear it for the rest of my life and wanted something I liked....not something FH guessed on.
Although, if he did guess I would have 'loved' it but he knows better!! :)

At least you get the choice of picking it out. FH got the ring he designed with a jeweler friend that he thought would look beautiful on me. I didn't even get to hint of what i wanted.

Not selfish at all it is something you will have too look at the rest of your life! I am lucky that my FH has a good eye for my type of style so I didnt have to pick mine out but If I didn't like it we would have gotten something else. He did show me my other options after he gave me mine. Good lucj in finding the PERFECT ring!
