SELFISH moms ! =(

Yet another brief encounter from the daycare files...(at the gym).

I was working this morning, and one mom came with a 7yr old girl, and a 2month old girl (yes 2 months, 8 weeks, NEWBORN!)

Well the rules are that we DO NOT change diapers. The moms get called in to change them if the baby poops. Usually they come in clean and dont have to be changed till after they leave, so its not really a problem.. but of course there are 'Woopsies' all the time, even ten minutes after a fresh diaper change from mommy.

Well this 'wonderful' mommy of 2 girls, told us NOT to bother her, NOT to have her paged or called in if the baby poops. The 'older sister' (7yrs old!) can change the diaper just fine 'she's a great helper'... We wanted to DIE !!!!

There is NO WAY we were going to let 'big sister' handle an 8wk old, under our responsibility...

OMG!!! What the heck...she shouldn't even be a parent. Expecting a 7yr old to change their siblings diaper..........

Unfortunately alot of these moms think they are the exception to the rules!
One little girl was like 'I did poopy and I cant clean myself'. Well I've wiped many a kids tushy in my lifetime, andI have no problem with it, but theres NO way Im breaking the rules here, you hear too many horrible stories...people are nuts...
We made her wipe herself, she was like 4! She was just being lazy!

These moms should be reported!

One kid, (the rule is 2hour max), well his dad was at the 2 1/2 hour mark, and I was about to have him paged. I usually am not nitpicky about things like that, I dont mind if theyre getting a good workout (and they better tip well ) but this kid was restless, tired, hungry, and...of course...
his diaper was OFF ! It was down to his knees, straps came undone. (Thank goodness no poop! ) So I quickly put a clean one on him..

I agree that Mom is very selfish and out of line....BUT, my Mom had my sister when I was 8 and I proudly (and expertly) changed her diapers all the time!

However, this was in our house and not in a public place. And I am sure it was under the supervision of my Mom.

Mrstc, Im sure the 7yr old could have wiped the tushie and put the diaper on as if the baby were a doll , but handling the infant - its just not the right circumstances, time or place.
and then its the principle of WHY, so her mom doesnt get interupted ???

I work in a kids store and I see such neglect, and its so hard not to say anything!!!

Anna, I wish you could see how many children in September yell from the bathroom 'COME AND WIPE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!', which of course, I can't.

I either coach them through the door, or have the nurse come and do it. Then mommy gets a phone call about working on it at home!

I can't believe that this woman treats her newborn as an inconvience!!


Jenn and Anna...with all the pervs and lawsuits in the world today I don't blame you...I worked in a Kindergarten classroom...and that was a big issue if someone had an accident...

Yep, its disgusting how these moms treat their kids like their truly an inconvenience! Some of these kids after 2 hours are like 'Why is my mom taking so long?!' They feel abandoned almost. Of course there are the ones that would never leave, they have a blast coloring and playing and rocking JA's stroller (if he's not up and about ) but there are really strange ones that sit there quietly and miserable, no matter what you do or say to them

Another thing I hate (that Ive mentioned before) is that its 9am and these kids are eating tons of junk food as their parents go and 'Take care' of their own bodies! *SMACK!*
