sending invites to out of towners

i would like to send an invitation a cousin in florida - who I am pretty sure cannot afford to attend. Do I just send it - or attach a note saying just wanted you to know - please no gift - or something like that?

I think that you should send an invitation--with no note attached. The invitation will show that you want them to share your special day with you. You don't really want to say 'no gifts'. You never know, they may be able to make it!:-) We are going through the same thing, as most of our guests are from CA. Good luck!
