When is a good time frame to send STD? I ordered mine so I can take my time with them but, didn't know when I should send them for a July wedding? TIA!

i've always read that they should be sent about 6 months or so before the wedding, but I plan on sending mine about 8 months before because I have a TON of out of towners coming in.

Mine are stuffed into the envelope, just have to address them and get them stamped for postage...I want to send ours this week or next...So we'll be a little under 11 months out, but I'm too excited for people to see them to wait any longer!!

No really, tell me you can't see at least ONE of your guests calling you and saying 'THE ADDRESS ISN'T ON THE INVITATION!'

I'm waiting till early November to send mine out for my August wedding. FH and I really wanted a fall engagement shoot, otherwise I would've probably sent it out by early October.

I have a save the date question...what city do you put on the std? Where the church is or the reception?

We're going to take engagement pictures in September and I will probably get STDs out in beginning of October ... so 10 months before my August wedding :)

I think we sent most of them out 10 months before. We waited to send out for work friends, we just sent those out 5 months before.

I put the location of the church. Some people just put 'Long Island, NY'

I was told that the typical time to send them out was 10 months before, depending on how many people you have coming from out of town. We have a lot of people out of state, but I'm seven months away and have yet to send them out. I will probably send them out this week, I'm just waiting to get the envelopes back from the people addressing them. I wouldn't rush, you have time and the people that are the most important to you already know when the wedding is

STDs are usually sent out 6 months before & invitations are sent 3 months before the date. I'll prolly send mine out around January for my August Wedding

I sent mine out 10 months before because a majority of our guests are from out of state

I'm sending mine out in the next few weeks. We have a lot of people from out of state. Plus, since its summer, I want to give everyone a heads up in case they are looking to book vacations or trips.
