i grew up being scared for my life..lmao
not really..but a little..

it worked for me..i stood out of trouble.. for most of my life

i know fh was brought up under the spanking system too.

not sure what we will do w/our kids though?

no physical punishment
no cursing
no verbal abuse
no screaming & carrying on

I'm all about the timeouts & taking away of priveleges, and I will raise my voice & yell if they aren't listening, but i won't yell and carry on and on and on

i agree to the intention. here's hoping i can live up to it!!! (the screaming part, i mean. i wouldn't physically hurt my kid.)

i dont know... my mom hit me once, i was super young tho like 6 or 7...

my dads voice still makes me upset when he yells...

i got into trouble, quite a bit actually... im the youngest of 5 so my parents really gave me a lot of leeway... which was cool...

all my friends used to tell their parents that their cigarettes or beer were mine... its not that my parents didnt care but theres really nothing they could have done...

i only got punished really badly once...

no im not for it. i just cant see myself or fh doing it in the first place. my mother did a few times when i was little and then my grandmother did once and i went balistic saying youre not my mother. just thinking about it, i think its so weird that my mother did and i cant see doing it. i know some people especially form the old school says it will teach a kid a lesson but i think there are definatley other ways. my mom once made me sit in a dark dining room in the corner for hours. i learned! lol

my UNCLE spanked me once and i was like are you serious???? plus, i was 12. plus, we were in a restaurant. umm....really??? my parents didn't even spank me!

dude i used to get BEAT . sometimes INFRONT OF MY FRIENDS!!!!!!


i remember once i was like 14. i was 20 min late to come home from school cuz it was VDAY and i went to the bodega to get my mom flowers...

dad ran out the driveway and slapped me to the point where he broke my glasses..

saw he broke my glasses and beat me again cuz he was mad that he hit me and broke my glasses!!!! lmaooo it was a lose/lose SHYTuation for me. and it was done infront of my best friend . i hatedddddd him for it.. but i turned out to be a human being lolllllllllll


im not going to BEAT my kids but im def going to 'beat ' them lolol

i refuse to let my kid turn out to be a lil spoiled bastid

i got the belt once and man, i would NEVER use that on my kids. Nor washing the mouth out with soap but i'd do the other sh*t.

We used to get yelled at and if we were really bad we would get hit. I asked my mom awhile ago what did she feel when she would hit us, she said she felt horrible and would go to the room and cry..

It must be tough. If you don't punish your kid then they walk all over you. If you do, and you are physical, you are a horrible person.

yeah same here... i am pretty sure it was just a waste of energy on their ends. although i guess i've sort of grown up a bit by now. but daaaamn it took a long time.
