Sent out STD last week and then found out I'm pregnant!

Ladies...I could use some help!

Last year my doctor told me i could never get pregnant without invitro because my fallopean tubes were constricted. Well, I think the fertility test opened them because yesterday I found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant! No medical intervention involved! Every baby is a miracle....but this one really is....

Everything seems healthy so far and next week we should hear the heartbeat. After that we will decide to move up our wedding from Sept to May/June. My target due date is mid November.

Here is the twist. I JUST mailed the save the date cards last week! I want to find a clever, fun way to send a change of date/invite without really announcing the pregnancy because I'd have to mail the invites in April and b/c it is still early my doc said to wait a little before we tell people. do i just say we couldn't wait until fall because we're so excited???

so...that's my pickle (no pun intended, well, maybe a little). any thoughts?

you could say you both have been offered a new position starting in the fall and so the wedding needed to be pushed up. this way you arent fibbing but you arent jinxing it either

Say with all the expenses involved in a wedding we got a better deal with our reception site if we have it an this earlier date

when the baby is born some people may be pissed that you lied. i like a tiny fib better or just the truth. although most people should understand why u couldnt tell the truth so soon. congrats and lots of luck

Morning...thanks ladies. the better deal on the hall might work. i just don't want to announce the pregnancy in april but would have to send the invites by then. the doc said 1 in 6 pregancies result in miscarriages. (heaven for bid) something goes wrong i'll have to explain it to everyone at the reception as everyone is starting to congratulate me. it would be bad for all involved (esp me).

thinking positive though - I couldn't think of a better reason to change a date! we were just discussing the invitro costs 3 days before we found out. so funny, so wonderful! i am blissfully happy!!!!! : )

Wonderful news!!
I would just say that the origional date you wanted opened up and you are excited to have your wedding even sooner!!

No one will question that.

Congratulations!!!! I would say that there was an opening at the RH and you guys want it be married sooner. I hear you on not wanting to tell anyone to soon just in case. Well good luck!

OH YAY, first of all congrats!! I expect to see you obove ron LIfamilies lady!!!! LOL

I would just wait a little then resend them...

Maybe just write that the date has changed, no biggie...unless u want to announce your pregnancy in a cute way!!!

That test DOES and can open your tubes and become super fertile...Its the one were they run dye thorugh them correct....This is super great news for you!!! All in Gods plan!

NO NO NO you and your baby will be fine...things can go wrong but its not probable!!!! Think positive!! Just change the date and dont announce yet...

I had a friend in the same situation. she resent a really cute STD that was like 'We just can't wait'. It was really cute. It had a picture of a bride and groom running to the altar or something. Not that many people even questioned it and the ones that did sshe just said 'we just wanted to move it up'. Once the wedding came and everyone saw she was preggo, they were all happy!!

I like the idea of sending the save the date card with 'We just cant wait' and then telling people that the original date that you wanted had become available!
