Ladies...I could use some help!
Last year my doctor told me i could never get pregnant without invitro because my fallopean tubes were constricted. Well, I think the fertility test opened them because yesterday I found out I'm 5 weeks pregnant! No medical intervention involved! Every baby is a miracle....but this one really is....
Everything seems healthy so far and next week we should hear the heartbeat. After that we will decide to move up our wedding from Sept to May/June. My target due date is mid November.
Here is the twist. I JUST mailed the save the date cards last week! I want to find a clever, fun way to send a change of date/invite without really announcing the pregnancy because I'd have to mail the invites in April and b/c it is still early my doc said to wait a little before we tell people. do i just say we couldn't wait until fall because we're so excited???
so...that's my pickle (no pun intended, well, maybe a little). any thoughts?

Congrats! I understand that you don't want to discuss this with everyone. My sister had blocked tubes also, tried for 6 years and finally did invitro. Now she is pregnant with twins and due almost on my wedding day. She has had miscarriages before because of this issue, so I completely understand where you are coming from. I don't think however that you should lie or make up stories. Eventually everyone is going to find out and then be pissed you lied. Everyone will understand why you kept it secret. I think you can just let them know there has been a change in the plans, send the invites and spread word of mouth the change of date. It is ok to say that you would not prefer to discuss the reasons for the change, it is personal. People don't need an explanation for it.

CONGRATS!!! ITs a joy! seriously!!!! I wouldn't worry about it...definately say that a date opened up and you secretly wanted a spring wedding anyway.... Good luck!!! What wonderful news!

WOW that is such wonderful news. Many blessings for you and your new family.
IMO just tell your guests that you had a venue open up an earlier date and you are taking advantage of the opportunity!

Your ideas, love and support were very heartwarming!
We saw our baby's heart beat last night. I am almost at my 7th week. S/he is a miracle!
We decided to tell our immediate families and close friends the reason why.
For the others, I don't have time to send out new save the date cards. I have to send invites by early April! I decided to use my printer to print on the inside envelope the 'We're so excited we couldn't wait so we decided to change the date!'
We told his children last night (he has joint custody of 2 great kids - a 12 year old girl and a 15 year old boy). We told them they can tell their friends there was a problem with the first hall for our date and we got an even better deal at the new place for the new date...and that is why we moved it up.
I used ALL of your ideas - and I wouldn't have thought of them on my own so THANK YOU!!!!
Now, my next trick...I will be 16 weeks on my wedding day. Doc says I shouldn't really gain more than 3 lbs (if any) up to week 12. Thankfully it is an empire waisted dress - I'm hoping they'l be able to adjust as needed as i ordered it before I knew!!!

I say go with the price excuse. Although another excuse would be that it would fit best into your schedule because of some big things coming up in the fall. Totally the truth, and most likely people would assume it has to do with work or something.
