Seperate wedding account?

how many ladies have a seperate wedding fund account? is it a joint account? me and FH dont have a joint acct. now, but were thinking about making one for the wedding and then making that our acct. once we get married? should i open a checking or savings? how is everyone doing this?

We have separate accounts, we are going to open a joint account wit our engagement money though.

My fh and I have a joint account. It is a savings account. We have it so we put all our money we are saving for our wedding in it.

We're going to open one just under his name. i cant have a lot of $ in the bank under my name for certain reasons, so any $ for the wedding were going to both put in there

We have a joint ING account that we put money into every month that's for wedding expenses only. After the wedding, whatever is left over (we're being optimistic!) and whatever money we get at the wedding, will go into out joint household fund.

We opened up a joint savings acct. at the bank we both have separate checking accts. at . That way we can easily just transfer money from our checking accts to the savings acct. I have it set up that every Wednesday, a certain amt. of money is transferred.
