When are you sending out your invites?? My sister thinks I should send them the ending of June because of the 4th of July but I think that's too early. What do you fellow 9/12 brides think? All non 9/12 brides feel free to answer.

Re: September 12th Brides
Thats not too early...some people send them out three months before..we sent them out 10 weeks before...definitely not too early, however if you feel it is then send them out a few days after the 4th!

Re: September 12th Brides
Hey there- I am the week after you and I hope to get mine out that first week of July so I do not think it is too early....considering I just ordered mine yesterday and hope to have them in in a month-- ha!! procrastination at its best! :) Plus, there are always stragglers with the RSVP's so a little extra time won't hurt anyone-

Re: September 12th Brides
I'm not September but my sister is. It's standard to send them out 6-8 weeks before the wedding.

I'm the day after you, i will be sending out my invites the first week in july. 6 to 8 weeks is plenty of time and i think pretty standard.

Re: September 12th Brides
from advice from someone who has sent them out. I think you can send them out early but you CANT make people respond early. . so just know you might have to be patient with that unless you have a really early RSVP date. . .
one other thought. . if you are going to do a B list, you might want to get some invitations with a write in RSVP date b/c otherwise your b list will get invites with a past RSVP date or have them all write in. . but that seems a PITA. . don't know if invite places did that but when we wanted to do b list we didn't know what to do b/c of the RSVP. .
have fun. . . getting the responses is exciting. its like guaranteed mail!

I think sending out invites 8 weeks before the wedding is plenty of time. Did you send out save the dates?

Re: September 12th Brides
I have a friend getting married the 2nd week of October who is sending out her invites at the end of July... I don't think it is too soon when there are holidays weekends involved.

Re: September 12th Brides
I'm getting married a week before you and I'm sending out my invites on July 1. Etiquette says to send it out 8 weeks in advance, so I think sending it out after July 4th would be most appropriate.
