September/October Brides.... how are your responses??

We're missing about 30 of 84 with 10 days to go...I'm not stressin' it yet!! We've covered our minimum and looks like we'll have about a 40% decline rate which is just what we expected! (many 'and guests' coming solo, out of towners not expected to make the trip...etc!) Just curious! :)

Horrible!! Lots of calls to do this weekend! Need to vent...

Our response date was yesterday and although we got 3 yesterday and 4 today we are still missing 26 out of 108!! Thats 25% not back!!! Granted 13 we dont expect to come, however only 3 of the 26 I 'think' are coming....Just a stupid thing added to the rest of it...My cousin is going to say, well you knew I would come. And I really want to say, yes I did, I just wanted to waste .34 cents on a stamp for the return envelope for the pure heck of it... Sorry, I am very bitter right now..I am studying for a nys life ins exam for the next 2 weeks, the wedding is in 4 weeks and the seating arrangements are due a week from Monday, so I am a bit stressed...Anyhow, I am HOPING AND PRAYING between tomorrow and saturday, we get a WHOLE bunch more back. Remember Monday is a holiday, no mail, so if people realize this weekend they did an opps and mail it tuesday, we wont get it until wed, thurs. TOO LATE for my seating arrangement...Sorry to vent...Really sorry....

Don't stress too much...

I drove myself crazy over my responses or lack thereof. The majority of my responses came in the 4 days before and 5 days after my response date. We ended up having to call only a few people. I was worried about making my minimum and now we are over by 1! So all of my worries were for nothing. People just do not realize the anguish they cause a bride when they wait til the last minute to respond. Just human nature for people to wait I guess. Good luck on your test. I am having my own stresses so I understand. The other supervisor where I work decided to quit and her last day is tomorrow. On top of having to learn her job (they have decided not to replace her for now) we have had to cut 2 days off our honeymoon and I have to go back to work the day after we come home instead of 5 days later. And I have only been there for 7 1/2 weeks myself. I have been going in early and working late every day and things I should have been doing for the wedding(seating chart, etc)haven't gotten done. What I did was have my maid of honor, my BMs, and my MIL help with the calls. If everyone takes 5 or so to call you will get your answers quicker. Also, tell your helpers that whoever they call MUST give you an answer right then---not a 'oh, I'm still trying to see if we can make it'. If they really can't tell you yet, count them as a no because otherwise you have to pay for them if they don't come. You can always pay more on the day of the wedding if it turns out they can come. We have gotten 25 back out of 49 and Friday is the response date. I just don't understand what takes people so long to check yes or no!! Do I sound a little peeved? You better beleive it. These are the people who were asking if they are invited to the wedding, go figure.

Got back 48 of 96, with only 3 no's! And I think the rest are actually coming but haven't mailed back their response.

They've been out for a month & only about 35% back!! *NM*

Our cut-off date is tomorrow...

and we have gotten 78% back- we still have 59 possible other people coming (that includes guests) this sucks!! like we don't have enought to do already and now we have to hunt these people down! we have 137 yes's and 74 no's which is awesome b/c we are over our minimum!!! most of the people we still have outstanding are my Fi's family who live in Canada- who aren't going to come and wouldn't have been invited if we thought they would come. I just want it to all be over!!! I just want to be married!!!!

I am still missing some and I am two weeks away we had a bout a 33% decline which was higher than we expected. But at this point we have given up chasing the missing responses. We are under count but are okay with it because the most important people will be there to share our special day. Good luck with our wedding.

We got a flood of responses right away - then nothing... at the last minute a lot of people sent theirs in. We still have two that we never heard from directly. But we 'hear' one is coming and cant decide if he should bring a date. If we dont hear from him/contact them by Tuesday Im not counting them. Ill leave room at two tables just in case they show up.

We sent out 90 and only got 40 back so far... *NM*

It's almost two weeks past our due date and

we still can't get confirmation from people. It's so very frustrating. My seating arrangements are difficult enough with out having to allow for maybes. I feel uncomfortable saying tell me now or tell me no. I know I would be mortified if someone had to keep calling me about my response.
