Serious Budget Photography Issues!

Note: Sorry I typoed on the price of Rozanoff before-

I'm doing heavy budgeting on most of my vendors for my Swan Club wedding next summer, and photography is included in that. I'm going for the under $1000, no albums, only 2-3 hours ceremony+traditional photos (no reception) kind of thing. We'll do disposable cameras for the reception!

I have searched the boards forever and it appears no one else has budgeted THIS much, but it's possible; I've seen several basic packages under $1000. I can't do over a thousand even if it's really worth it and so on and so forth; the cash just isn't there. Sooo...

Firstly, if you've seen a basic package under $1000, whose was it?

Secondly, has anyone ever heard of or worked with Val Rozanoff? I tried emailing him via his website www. rozanoff .com but it bounced back return to sender! But I read some good reviews elsewhere and the site says packages start at $500 for 3 hours? Anyone know anything about this?

Not sure if your interested but, Hal from T and T studios is great. You should def give him a call and tell him what your price range is. He worked with us. and we had no problems. You can tell him Stephanie and Jonathan reccomended him and maybe he will give a a deal. He takes great photos, and is a pleasure to work with. His prices will vary depending on what you want.

im having a photographer at my engagement party, 300 BUCKS!!! he puts all the proofs on the kodak website the next day!!!!


FM if u want his number!! my landlords fam uses him for all their parties and she likes things done RIGHT so i know hes gonna be great. my party is sept 13th.

Celestrial Photography is who I'm using... I HIGHLY reccomend him b/c he works WITH You... And, one of his most IMPORTANT points is... PAY as you get his work. For example, we only have to pay 800 to hold the date... NOTHING else is due till AFTER the wedding. When we get the proofs, we pay XXX... then when we approve the album we pay XXX... etc etc. if there is something we dont like, we don't pay until its what we want. That's how ALL photographers should be! I would check him out!

Def. read the section that says 'Do Not Book A Photograther Until You Read This' He'll give you ALL the scams people try to trhow at you... so even if you don't use him, you still have the knowledge!

you might check with Silverfox 516-798-6699. his normal pkg is $1500 for up to 10 hrs but he might be willing to do less hours.
when we booked he had an option for photojournalist for $1000 or $600 for 4 hrs but I don't know if you can get that rate w/o doing the 1st photog for the day. but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I think Dan Wagner has a budget option. It would be worth giving him a call. I met with him and he is really nice and beautiful pictures!!

I second that... Dan is really flexible and will customize your packages to suit your needs. He is a doll too!

I would try ARTISAN Photography . They are a LiW vendor and have some great prices and they have beautiful pictures
