seriously?? registry vent!

honestly, what exactly is the problem with buying things that are on our registry? I am not trying to be or sound ungratefeul, and i'm sorry if i'm coming across as a complete psycho, but i am so TIRED of seeing things being added and fulfilled to my registry that i did not put there. and i know its not by accident, they are 'shower gift' items. and what really broke the camel's back was today i go on and check again and someone decided to ignore the plain coasters that i really want and registered for and bought me 2 sets of coasters with a giant E on them. Did they not think i saw those? wouldnt i have registered for them if i wanted them???? would you go and buy DIFFERENT coasters when a couple specifically registered for the ones they want?? i dont get it.

i know i sound crazy, i'm sorry, i'm just so annoyed and confused as to why i keep getting stuff i dont want and the stuff we registered for gets ignored.

You have a right to be upset but remember your registry isnt mandatory. People can and will at the end of the day buy you what they want.

I don't understand, you can actually see what they are getting you that is not on your registry? I know anyone can buy things you don't want, but how are they able to add things to your registry?

i know just how you feel except I have a registry problem of my own.....

A couple of people have called my mom and told her that they purchased gifts for me but they didn't come off of the registry. Apparently some of the salespeople didnt register the purchase as a registry gift and just as a general purchase, so now I wil most likely have more than a few doubles!

and to top it all off, the non-internet savy guests keep shipping to my house and its SO hard not to peak but i havent peaked at all =), still though now my mom and BMs have to lug all that stuff to the shower.
