I still need to purchase lots of stuff. so I blew my budget by oh lets say when all is said and done by 17 grand ( budget was 25K). ahhhhhh thank god we have a house allready or I think I would die! Ha and you think I was getting married in oheka with that kinda money, its the vendors that get you too when you upgrade everything!! the hall alone was my budget- scary!!! And this number does NOT include the HM!!!

Re: Share Your Wedding BUDGET Please
I'm trying to stay under 25K.
So far I have these expenses: Church, officiant: 500 Reception: upwards of 12K Photo/Video: about 5K Dress, Accessories, hair & Makeup: 1100 DJ: 1500 Florist: Hopefully less than 1200
I still have limos, favors, invitations & programs, etc. to go!
I am really trying to stick to my budget, even if we have to put our honeymoon off by a couple of months..

Re: Share Your Wedding BUDGET Please
I have been in so many weddings and no one paid for anything, then again no one asked me to where my hair or makeup a certain way. For my wedding they can do both themselves if they want to.

I personally think if you have requirements for your BP than you should pay for them.

I made sure I picked a dress that was not too expensive. After that, I told them to pick what ever shoes they wanted (one BM even dyed her wedding shoes the color of my BM dress and that was fine with me). I also told them they could have their hair and makeup any way they wanted. If they wanted to get it done, fine with me. If not, that's fine with me too. I didn't tell them they had to do anything. I thought it was unfair to tell them they HAVE to do all this stuff and spend $500++ for my wedding, especially after they already paid for my shower, bach-party, engagement gifts and were going to be giving us wedding gifts.

And you're entitled to your opinion. I personally don't agree with that. I've been in many weddings (like 8) and nothing was ever paid for for me nor did I expect it to be. I was always prepared to pay for whatever it cost to do whatever the bride wanted. And everything was chosen for us from shoes to makeup to *exact* hairstyle. No complaints from me or any of the other girls. That's just what we were used to, what we expected -- though that's not exactly what I did for my wedding.

Re: Share Your Wedding BUDGET Please
Alot of you haven't included your halls in your budget. Does that mean your not paying for them? If someone could pay for my hall I would be floating on cloud 9 now until Oct. 7th

The post states 'not including food' - the hall is the food/liquor so I think that's why a lot of us are not including it.
