My cat sheds like crazy. I brush him just about every day and end up with a whole brush full of hair. He is an indoor cat and I seem to vacuum every other day If you give him one quick pet you end up with a clump of hair in your hand. He doesn't seem to have any skin problems and the hair is not thinning or bald in any spots, he is just really hairy! Is there anything that I could do to cut down on the hair. I have never owed a cat before. I saw this stuff at the pet store that you put on their food and is supposed to help but I am not sure if that is bad for them or not. If anyone has any info I would really appreciate it!! (so would all of my black clothes!!)
If there is something you can do - I'd love to know because my Gunnar is as hairy as they come! And we have a red couch.....he has white hair...not a good mix!!!

is this all the time? I know my dog sheds more so around the change in the seasons....blowing out the winter coat when it gets warmer....

It seems to be all of the time. Does anyone know if the food supliment that they sell in pets stores to reduce shedding is safe for them?

My Vet recommended brushing daily. That way the excess hair lands in the brush and you can throw it away. Good luck! I have 3 cats - one is long haired...I seem to vacuum all the time!!

how is your cat with the berber carpet???
I got him a scratching post that he really loves so he does not kneed at the rug. He's a pretty good kitty!
