Sheraton on Kuaui & Ritz on Maui

My travel agent wants to book us at the Sheraton on Kuaui and the Ritz on Maui. Can anyone give me feedback on these hotels? Thanks!

Re: Sheraton on Kuaui & Ritz on Maui

Hi,
I have been to Hawaii a few time and can help.
If the travel agent is suggesting the Princeville Hotel on Kauai you will be very happy there. We stayed there a few years ago and still talk about it!!DH and I travel a lot and this was one of the best places we have ever stayed at! (With exception of the Kapalua I'm about to tell you about!)
As for Ritz on Maui... Just my opinion, Don't bother. The hotel next door The Kapalua Bay Hotel, is on a much nicer beach(maui's best) And the property is the most romantic I have stayed at. We were engaged here and returned for out honeymoon. You will love it!
If you are comfortable booking on your own you probably can do better on the prices. I never book with a TA.
Check it out before you book, can't hurt!
If you are a member, check cotsco.com. Used them for engagement trip and saved a lot!
If I can help in any way let me know!
Deb

Re: Sheraton on Kuaui & Ritz on Maui

On my recent trip, I met 2 Ritz Maui couples. One loved and the other said it was so-so. The one that said it was so-so said it wasn't too pampering as they expected from a high priced hotel...not exactly sure what the meant.

I stayed at Grand Wailea and Hyatt Regency-Kauai. I visited a few other and liked the Fairmont Keilani (sp?) in Maui and the Princeville in Kauai. the 4 Seasons is also nice but a little too yuppie for me (not sure what was the right word I am looking for).
