Shoe dilemma...

Shoe dilemma...

Ok, I have to get new shoes, but I'm limited in selection b/c of my shoe size (12). I was asking my FH his opinion and he prefers open-toe, which is what I initially wanted but I can't find much that I like out there.

I found 2 possible open toe:
3' heel

or

2 1/4' heel

FH definitely 'prefers' the top pair even though they're more expensive (almost 5x the cost of the bottom pair and he still prefers them...so he must REALLY like them ).

Do I get them to make FH happy? (FH is a high heel man!) Or do I get the bottom pair b/c no one will even see them?

Then there's also the concern of me being crippled by the end of the night on that 3' thin heel!

What would you guys do?

IMO, if the 2nd pair is comfortable - get them! You and FH will be much happier if you're not complaining about your feet all day and night!

I would go with the bottom pair, I like it better, and it looks like it is more comfortable.

i'd go with whatever is most comfortable b/c that's really what's important. and fh will have so much else to look at that day he probably won't notice the shoes!

Go with what you are most comfortable in.

Personally, I like the second pair a lot more than the first.

I like the first pair.. VERY sexy, and would go beautifully with that gorgeous gown you have....I don't like the second pair.. I'm not a chunky-heeled kind of gal.. =)

I also like the 1st one to go with your gown. You have stated before you wear heels often - so it may not be too bad. (?) But go with what you think will work with your dress and your comfort. DH will not even be looking at your shoes when he sees you in your gorgeous gown!

Edited to say #1 looks exactly like the same ones my mom wore to my brother's wedding. She had no problems but she loves 3' + thin heels - she never wore a chunky heel in her life!

I think its nice that you wnat to make your finace happy, but I can guarantee when he sees you in yoru dress and veil..hes not even going to notice your shoes..get whats comfortable for yOU!!

I actually prefer #2 as well...the first pair looks really uncomfortable to me and, don't forget, you will be on your feet all day. I think the top consideration should be comfort. I'd go with #2.

Re: Shoe dilemma...

I would do what is going to make me comfortable. The groom gets to wear flat roomy shoes. It's up to you, but the lower heel will give more comfort. And you are right, no one will see them under the dress.

#2 is my favorite as well.

I would get pair #2, and save pair #1 for the bedroom/wedding night

I like the way you think, Alina!

Go with whatever makes you comfortable. Maybe you can buy the sexier pair for a romantic night - and maybe find them by another designer so they aren't so expensive.

I personally like the first pair. But I don't like chunky heels and I am used to tall skinny heels so wouldn't be a comfort issue with me. But I do think comfort is important, so if I were you, I would go with whichever you think you can deal with for the entire night.

I would go with the pair that's most comfortable on you. You will be on your feet for a long period of time and you're going to want comfortable shoes. Sometimes people will see your shoes, though. I just got a couple of pictures from my wedding from a friend and I lifted my dress a bit and there were my shoes in plain sight.

I like both styles a lot so I can't help you choose which pair is prettier. Sorry!

Jen- I have to say i LOVE the first one. Just think the heel is very sexy!
BUT... the second is beautiful too...and it looks soooo much more comfortable. Like you said- no one is really going to even see them so you might as well go for comfort!!

Buy them both. Wear the 2nd pair at the wedding. They look a lot more comfortable & no one's going to see them anyway. Wear the 1st pair when the 2 of you are alone on your wedding night. Make the guy happy!

I agree w/ bizzybridesmom! if he likes them that much .. go for it.. but you dont want to be miserable the night after and during your HM!!! Shop around, you might find them cheaper elsewhere!

I like the first pair much better than the second. I don't really go for chunky heels, however I would be crawling by the end of the night in the first pair so if those were my only two options I would have to go for the second. If you have feet that can handle a three inch heal, than definitely go for #1, they are prettier, sexier and much more stylish!
