Shoes before the dress?

Shoes before the dress?

Hi Ladies,

I know only a few of you already got your dress but this question is for everyone...

Are you going to, or did you buy your shoes before your dress? I guess if you have your shoes first you will know how the dress will look and how short it needs to be...?

I will probably buy the dress before the shoes, just to make sure the shoes are appropriate for the dress!

I did dress before shoes.. and now im struggling with the decision on whether i want to pay extra $$ for the extra length in order to wear heals.

I think that I'm going to go back to the store and try on dress with heels of similar heel height before I place the order.

im planning on wearing flats but if i were to wear heels i wld prob buy my dress 1st so that i can buy shoes to match

I already know what shoes I want and I am so tempted to just grab them but I'm going to wait to buy my dress first in case they clash.

I plan to buy my dress before the shoes....this way I can be certain that I get the right style for the dress

I am getting my shoes after my dress. But make sure you are prepared to tell the store about how high shoes you are going to get!

I'm a total shoe person....and i've actually been looking at shoes more than dresses. Which i buy first is a good question though....either way i will own the shoes for the fittings since the dress will have to be hemmed to match.

I bought my dress first -- I wanted to know the style of the dress so I could find appropriate shoes. If you're buying a dress that gets measured hollow-to-hem when ordering, though, you'll need to either have shoes or commit to a height. My bridal shop will hem mine when it comes in.



This is very true. My dress is a hollow to hem and I brought in shoes that I wore as a bridesmaid bc they are about the same height that I want for my wedding day - not too high but not too flat bc you get measured that day for the bridal store to send out your measurements to the designer

I bought my shoes first... I feel in love and they're very 'me'. I'm sure they will match any gown I pick.

(I'm also a big shoe person)

I want to buy shoes first bc that's a lot easier and I see so many I like, but I won't bc I am scared they wont go with the dress.
