shopping Spin off- Do you hide purchases from your S/O?
Original post by dm24angel
Like the fact I went shopping while DH was at work. If he asks when Im wearing my new clothes if they are new, I will say yes, but if he doesnt ask, well oh well. Is this wrong of me??
It is technically my money, left over from my own paycheck not used towards anything else that I spent??
But I sure as heck am not gonna offer up to what I bought.

We don't micromanage each others purchases. We just trust each other to be responsible. We agreed when we were married, if we purchase something over $1,000 we would consult the other one.

nope, once you're married, it's not just your money anymore, spouses should be informed of all purchases
This is not always the case....
We have one joint account and we each have our seperate accounts so as long as the bills are paid and $$ that needs to get saved is saved then we can spend what we want but we still tell each other.
ETA: He also has his own bills to pay & I have mine but then we have ours.

I don't show him all my purchases...he doesn't have that kind of time.
I can't hide much because he pays for the 'damage' in my monthly statements.

No, I do not. I make money, I pay the bills and I keep our bank account in order. JT knows I would not spend money that we do not have or could not afford to spend. And even if I did spend more than we could afford, I'm a big girl, I can be honest about it. I have no reason to hide anything.
