Should I apologize?

So....this morning I am getting ready to leave the house and I cant find my keys. They are normally on the hook next to the front door where I always leave them. I am running around trying to find them and have ZERO luck. So I grab my spare key and leave a note for FH that says 'can't find my keys, please be home when I get there because I dont have a house key'. I had a feeling he had my keys somewhere because he moved my car last night. I was kind enough not to wake him up to ask where he put my keys, I just left a note.

Well, I just talked to him and he said 'you could leave a nicer note next time'. My response was 'you should put my keys back where they belong next time'.

I wouldnt! and I never understand how people can read something & say it has attitude- its all in how you read it- your fh thought you would be pissed (which you were right to be) and HE inferred the attitude jmo

LOL...I should have woke him up, but I was kind enough to let him keep sleeping! oh well, he will get over it!

Your note does not sound mean so no reason to apologize

i wouldnt apologize for the note, you were in a hurry and its his fault for the keys, just go home and have makeup sex!!!!!

what was wrong with the note you already wrote? It's a lot nicer than the note I would have left. If it was me I wouldn't apologize on principal but I'm stubborn
