I got an invitation to a friends wedding and I have been friends with this guy with over 12 years, and he has known my FH for 10 years. I got an invitation to there wedding and it says Michelle and Guest.
Hello, my FH is not a guest, he has a name, and we are getting married the weekend after their wedding.
This is also compounded by the fact that my friends FW, was a no show at my shower, and I have never gotten even a call as to why she didn't come or even bother to respond, and I just got an invitation to her shower.
I am so insulted right now, it is unbelievable.

Re: Should I be Insulted???
Before I was married I used to get insulted by this. Although I disagree with it...etiquette says that this is the proper way.
As for her being a no-show at the shower...that is rude!!

Re: Should I be Insulted???
Although it is technically correct (or so I think) I do think it is rude and stupid!

Re: Should I be Insulted???
According to everything I read, if you live with the person they should be included on the invitation, we live togetther, and the fact that he is a guest, even if ettiquette says so is ridiculous.

I'd be insulted by that. I've also been insulted when fh received an invitation for a friend's wedding where they spelled my name wrong...

Re: Should I be Insulted???
I have recieced two invitations this year that have siad me as a guest, the best part is, I sent out save the dates to all of these people with our full names on it, and anyone could have asked several people what either of our names were.
Some people don't take the extra 2 seconds to do things right.

I would be pi$$ed too! Both of your names should have been on the invitation. It seems like someone was being a bit lazy

Re: Should I be Insulted???
I would be annoyed too! I read recently that if you live together, or are engaged the name should be included. I went to a wedding in June before I was engaged and both our names appeared on the invitation.

Re: Should I be Insulted???
My FH's friend did not put my name on the invite and she knows me for at least 5 years before she started dating her DH. I was so pi$$ed. She did it to everyone though so I got over it.

Re: Should I be Insulted???
I just sent out my invites & put 'and guest' for those who aren't married yet. I've received invites like this since I've been engaged & really didn't think twice.
Now I will be insulted/****ed if someone does this AFTER we're legally married.

Re: Should I be Insulted???
I made sure I found out the name of the person's significant other and included it on the invite.

Re: Should I be Insulted???
I would totally be insulted. Someone did that to me. I am putting on their place setting card to my wedding Chris and Guest. It doesn't help that I can't stand the girl anyway.
