Is it just me that has all the doctors that dont like to 'overmedicate' ??? Everyone from my Primary Care, OB and pediatrician seems to be this way!
I dont know if its a good or bad thing sometimes!
I have a high tolerance for feeling 'sick'. I am NOT a 'lying in bed all day' type of person, no matter how sick I feel.
This past week or so, my mom and sister both got over bronchitis. I didnt think anything of it, being around them, they sounded like they were getting better. Sure enough, slowly but surely, the past 5-6 days, I've been feeling 'ehh'..and last nite and this morning, bad cough, runny nose, stuffy head, sore throat, the works.
Just went to the Dr. and he gave me a prescr for antibitiotics, but said not to start taking them unless i dont get better a week from now ??

He said its just an upper-resp tract infection, and since my runny nose and throat is 'clear' mucus (sorry to be blunt), he said it has to take its course, and theres nothing that can be done. I have taken Nyquil and Dayquil but it just makes me woozy and disoriented and tired, and he said it doesnt speed the healing process, just makes us more 'comfortable' as it releives symptoms temporarily...
Maybe its just the fact that I want a solution to this..and it annoys me when they dont want to drug me right away...
Im really debating taking Dayquil (non-drowsy), or just letting this thing 'run its course'...
Having tea and soup and OJ and MAYBE rest...if I can sit still from doing all my household chores that are staring me in the face, oh and not to mention my precious 5 month old that needs me 24-7 !
Thanks for listening !
