Should I get a 2nd pair for the Reception?

I just got these shoes yesterday. Has anyone ever worn these? Are they comfortable? I'm thinking maybe I'll just wear them for the pictures/ceremony & then have another more 'comfy' pair to wear for the rest of the night. What's your thoughts/opinions?

I have a pair of ballet slippers in white satin to fall back on. Just in case my feet kill.

Re: Should I get a 2nd pair for the Reception?

i got a pair of heels for the ceremony and pics and then i bought a pair of wedding 'slippers' (kinda look like ballet slippers) to wear around at the reception. no ones gonna see them while i'm dancing so why not be comfortable? here's a pic of my shoes...they are super comfy also but i'd rather take them off when dancing!

I haven't worn those... but I personally couldn't imagine wearing them all night! They're certainly very beautiful... but my feet would be killing me after about 20 minutes.

I have much lower heels, and I still got a pair of slippers to change into. I want to be able to dance all night - I refuse to have to sit down because my feet hurt!

Re: Should I get a 2nd pair for the Reception?

every bride should have a back up pair just in case... i had flip flops with rhinestones on them... i ended up changing them at the end of the night as we were leaving... remember you see shoes in the garter removal pictures!!

They do not look tooo comfy for the whole day. But you may be use to wearing heels??? I would bring back ups though.

Re: Should I get a 2nd pair for the Reception?

I am pretty used to wearing high heels, but I just don't want to have to take the chance, ya know? But the only problem is that I am a complete Clutz when I wear flip flops! I seriously would end up on the floor every 5 minutes. I wear them in the summer, but at least when I fall down, I'm not surrounded by 170 people with cameras in their hands.

Any shoes that are still heels, but maybe a little chunkier, rather than the skinny stilletto style heel? Maybe that would help. Thanks!

That's a good idea but make sure you dress does not 'drag' too much. The hem will be done for the heels.
