Should I or Shouldn't I.....

Original post by Swan06

Call up my venue to tell them how dissapointed I was with them? Or being that it's over just let it be? Thanks.

1. I just found out that other brides had bridal attendants and I did not.

2. Our Maitre'D was switched on us last minute and was MIA most of the night.

3. They didn't place our personalized aisle runner down (imagine I would have spent 125 dollars to have it done, good thing I did it myself).

4. The placecards weren't put in order and the favors were not placed on the right tables.

5. Our guest didn't know what to do because no one was directing them.

6. They promised me if i got there early i could take pictures on the grounds and when I got there told me I couldn't because there was another bride there. The whole reason I booked the place was for their grounds.

Edited for number 6.

I would absolutely contact them - maybe right a letter to the owner and cc the Banquet Manager, etc. It probably won't get you any $ back, but may help future brides, and may get you a comp dinner or something.

I'm so sorry about your hall. I was highly disappointed with my hall too, which I was very surprised about because I'd been to many functions there including my sister's wedding 4 years ago! I sent an email and certified letter to our Banquet Manager, got no response, then sent a certified letter to the General Manager and go no response. When that didn't work I sent a certified letter to the OWNER of the Crest Hollow Country club and got no response.

It made me feel better to write the letter, but never getting any acknowledgement of my letter's just got me angrier and more upset so I just had to let it go for my own sanity.

Take the time now and enjoy your new husband and this new exciting time your lives. Trust me!!!

My thought is, once they have all your $$ and the wedding is over, they just don't care anymore (not that they really care to begin with!)

ETA: They lost two extreamly sentimental items of mine, one which was very expensive and given to me by my grandmother and the other was just sentimental (the broken glass from my ceremony) Those are priceless items to me and for them to not even offer an apology is just plain wrong and unprofessional.

Thanks Ladies. I'm going to work on that letter just for my own peace of mind. Last night my husband said to me, 'DId they light up the candles on the centerpieces?' Then I realized that they also forgot to do that. I just hope that future Swan Club brides print out my review when it's complete and make sure that this doesn't happen to them! Thanks everyone

sorry to hear that. I would not let it upset you too much now but I agree that a letter would get it off your chest and also let them know the errors they made WERE noticed...

I absolutely would tell them. You paid good money to have your reception at their facility, and since it didn't meet with your expectations they should be told!!

I think all these places want to protect their reputation. Enough bad feedback and bad reviews, they will care.
