I bought my girls clutches, but I want to get them something else...
I need ideas.......HELP!

Honestly... since some of my girls are having a hard time coming up with all the money for the wedding... I am thinking about throwing in paying for their hair to help them out. I mentioned it to a few people, including some of the girls and they LOVED LOVED LOVED the idea (with the exception of MOH but that's due to other problems). Because it SAVES them MONEY!!!!!
I also got them other things. Including makeup bags that are personalized and I picekd out the fabric for each girl. I can't wait to see those! I still haven't officially ordered it yet... but I will soon.
Also we are taking the whole bridal party (plus a few extra 25 people in total) to a Met game.
In addition to that I might also buy them some jewelry. My girls love jewelry and if I buy that then I will get them each individual pieces that match their style that they can wear to the wedding as well.
IMO - ANYTHING that helps them save money or not have to spend as much is EXTREMELY helpful for them! Just ask them and you will see! So personally I like the idea of getting them those things as the gift!

I got my Bmaids..
My theme for the bag was The Gift of a Good Nights Sleep
1) Extra Large Tote bag with their name embroidered
2) A set of Pjs Top and Bottoms
3) Fuzzy Slippers
4) Bath and Body Works Sleep Aroma Therapy set with lotion and body wash
5) A framed picture of me and that particular bridemaid
6) A necklace to go with their dress for the day of

Really? That's funny. If someone was helping me not have to shell out more money for their wedding I would think it was VERY thoughtful of them to be thinking of my wallet!!!! The less they have to pay for the better for them, no???

I bought the girls coach wristlets and plus, I am making them their jewerly and I got them a makeup bag I am debating on wether or not to get them old navy flip flops to change into
I think those flip flops are like $2.50 each... so I say GO FOR IT!!!!!

not a very nice thing to say. a lot of girls put A LOT of thought into these gifts, so say it is not very thoughtful is very hurtful.

My Mom gave out Kate Aspen monogrammed cosmetic bags as favors at my bridal shower and they were a HUGE hit! They make great bridesmaids gifts and she has some NIP left over from people who did not attend. She is selling them for $4.25 each, which is what she paid for them, plus postage. It's hard because all of the stuff marketed as 'bridesmaids gifts' are all the same like monogrammed totes and beach bags and jewelry trincket boxes. I know that I don't want that stuff, so I am sure that my girls don't either, so why waste money on stuff no one wants? I won't give them jewelry to wear to my wedding or make-up and hair to wear to my wedding and the like. That doesn't seem like much of a gift for them. I'm still not sure but I think they are all getting spa gift certificates so that they can go and enjoy themselves away from my wedding.
I'm gonna have to disagree w u on this. Being a bridesmaid can be VERY expensive. Hair and makeup alone can run close to 200 bucks if not over..Ur not including dress, shoes, accessories, envelope/gift...so i WISH someone had offered to pay for my hair and makeup.
Aside from my 'bridesmaids' beach tote which i stuffed with pj's, everyday flip flops and flip flops for the day of that matched their dresses, pedi set, DIY emergency kits, make-up and a zales bracelet..i also paid for make-up the day of and my girls LOVED their gifts..the totes came in handy the day of because they stuffed all their stuff in there..It's not the tote- its the time,effort,thought that was put into it IMO

Rite Aid has those visa cards u can throw in there Maybe a nice MAC lipgloss Or a VS Gift card

I am getting my girls pearl earrings and bracelets, tote bags, pashminas, toiletries such as lip gloss, lip liner, aspirin, mints, hair elastics, nail files, etc., and restaurant certificates for my two MOHs. But don't go by me, I didn't put much thought in to it or anything.

i got them: 1. coach bags that were REALLY cheap at the outlets (pictures in my album) 2. ivory pashminas (since my wedding is in december) - got off street in new york and negotiated price down 3. small mirrors from mandees.com (putting them in the purses)
I also think I am getting them pearl bracelets off etsy

I got the BMs a beach bag filed with Tory Burch flip flops, Kiehls sun screen, a towel from Target, and I'm going to throw an US Weekly or something in there at the last minute.
Now if only we could only get the beach weather!!

I got them these oversized Victoria's Secret totes filled with cosmetics, perfume, body lotion and body spray, some stuff from the healing garden, I bought their shoes and personalized their rhinestone flip flops, I purchased their day of necklaces and earrings and the will also be getting glass shot glasses that say 'bridesmaid' or 'maid of honor' along with the rest of the wedding party. Beyond that one BM will get a few gift cards that I know she will use (Sephora & Starbucks for starters) and the other two girls will get quite a few things off of their Amazon wish list! I want to get them things that they can use and things that they want besides things that are useful to them to put in their bags. My MOH will have a few extra things purchased off of hers.

I bought them their dresses, I got them blue topaz jewelry and a gift certificate to get their hair done the day of.
Victorias Secret is having their Semi-Annual sale right now. i was in there yesterday (Roosevelt Field) and they had tons and tons of the VS perfumes, lotions, nail polish, and lip glosses on sale! Maybe get a cute tote and fill it with goodies?

This is a really good idea... a friend of mine bought her bm's the bm dress .... to some it may seem impersonal..but lets face it..it saved the bms $$$$
