Shower Question...

So i've been hearing my mother and my sister shower talking! I am a bit scared lol can you be involved in terms of the decorations? is it ok that I buy the favors and stuff? HOW INVOLVED ARE YOU IN YOUR SHOWER?

I think it really depends on the situation.

For me, I am not involved at all in the shower. My mother and bridal party are handling everything. Its suppose to be a surprise but I've been acting like Nancy Drew lately trying to snoop around.

see I know they are planning the whole thing as well but lol I can't help it I LOVE BEING INVOLVED! i've already gotten scolded!!

I plan on being as involved as they let me be. I already bought part of the favor for the shower. I am trying to help my sister and mom out by researching places to have it, finding out the cost and thing like that.

I'm not actually doing any of the planning myself but every time I see or think of something I like, I tell my MOH to surprise me with it... LOL

I don't believe I'm going to be involved at all. The extent is that I *think* it's going to be at my sister's house. But that's all that's been discussed with me.

Honestly, I'd rather not. I'm making all the decisions for the wedding as it is - I'd rather my mom, sisters, and BP take care of this one. It's one less thing I need to worry about.

I'm going to be involved a bit, mostly because my mom and sister (who is my MOH) live out of state. My best friend lives here (she's my bridesmaid) but she and I have very different taste when it comes to most things, so I need to have a hand in this!

i have nothing to do with my shower. my mom (MOH) & sister are in charge. right after FH & I registered i mentioned a couple of things that i have liked/dis-liked from showers we have been to but thats it. i want it to be a surprise.

however, i am the biggest snoop in the world. i will tell FH that i am going to my parents to get my mail & he had to come upstairs & find me twice. & he found me snooping in my moms closest (i found nothing) but i know there's stuff there. so since then i am not allowed in my parents house without supervision. lol. but it will all be worth it in the end.

I was trying to be helpful and help my mom and sister look for places. I send them some emails (i live out of the country) with the info. AT first I liked the idea. But when I talked to my sister. she said that i shouldn´t worry about it at all. to let them handle everything. I actually felt relieved. Its hard (and stressful) enough planning a wedding from overseas I don´t need the extra work.

i scouted out some places for my mom to look at and made appointments and went with her... she doesnt speak english great ya know so i wanted to help her out since no one else is so i dnt know which one she will choose or which date, i may help out with decorations (like buy stuff and just give to my bms to set up) but thats about it

I just know the place, i gave my do's & donts but i doubt my girls will listen to me. They know me well enough and im sure they will make it perfect.

I'm not sure yet how much of a part I'll play. Knowing my family and BP they'll want to keep it a secret from me. Which I HATE because I'm wayy to nosey and want to know whats going on.

I think I am going to plan it all myself. my MOH and mom are living overseas, so I figured (after stressing a lot about this) I should organize it myself and this way its gonna be what I want exactly

im so involved in my shower. im just not paying for it. i picked out the favors, told them what colore i wanted. helped picked the food. i even went with my mom to look at the place.
