How much are your bridemaids and MOH chipping in for your shower? And does that amount include money towards your gift?

I don't know about mine, but when I was in my SIL BP, there were 5 of us including the MOH and we each chipped $100 for the shower, and we each got our own gifts..I spent about $150 on her gift.
ETA: her mom paid for the rest of the shower

I would think it was a gift or the shower.....
My mom and FMIL are paying for my shower I wouldn't ask them to chip in .... they have enough to pay for

My parents hosted the e-party and are paying for the bulk of the wedding, so I really don't want them to have to pay for the shower. In fact, the MOB is not supposed to pay for the shower, the bridal party is.

For my friends we chiped in about 180. per person ( there were 8 bms) about 50 guests. That did not include the gift which we each bought on our own. HTH

My FMIL is hosting it at their house, along with my FSIL who is a BM...I don't think my BM are chipping in...I am glad, because some don't have too much $ and there are so many costs as it is...

My Mom and Dad paid for the whole thing and my bridal party each got me a gift.

My mom is gone, so I know that my MOH, my Aunt and my close friend are throwing my shower for me. I'm sure its a big burden for them because my fiance has a large family so there are a lot of people being invited.
On the other hand, I'm the MOH for my MOH's wedding, and her Mom said she will pay for the restaurant. So that leaves the bridal party (me and 2 other girls) to pay for decorations, invitations, favors, etc. In that case, I plan to buy her a more substantial showr gift.
In my opinion, if the bridal party is paying for the bulk of the shower, then I wouldn't expect them to buy a gift except for something very small as a token.
Showers can be a pain in the *** to plan and can get expensive. The bridal party has a lot more to pay for on top of the shower...like participating in the bachelor party, buying the dress, shoes, etc. etc. etc.
