Shower rules

I will just be 23 when I am married in July and in my opinion I am a young bride. Well anyways, I am new to the whole Shower scene since I am one of the first of my friends to get married.. I know the rules about how every ribbon you break is how many children you will have (or something like that) and that you aren't supposed to use sissors or knives or anything to open your boxes... Any else know any rules I should know!! My Surprise shower is coming up soon, I think.. LOL, it is a surprise! hehe Laurie

Just be surprised!! even if you know about it act like it was the furthest thing from your mind when it finally comes. The people who are throwing your shower are putting alot of work into it and its the worse when the bride isnt really surprised. Just have fun...its one of the best days that you will have!! Good Luck Lisa

Have a wonderful time. That is the most important thing. Take lots of photos. I actually made a Must-Have photo list and gave it to my Mom. I didn't want to miss any shots because we forgot. Many girls also make a bouquet out of their ribbons and some bows and use it during their rehersal. Just a thought!

I never heard that bow thing...good to know and I do not consider my self a young bride (i'm 29) and have been in lots of wedding parties... My advice: Be friendly, have fun and smile! Nothing worse than a miserable bride to be at her shower...
