Shower Saturday and i'm feeling soooo Sad

I don't mean to be all whiney but my shower's coming Saturday and while I loooove my Mom and Moh and family.....I'm missing my dad so much. We were cleaning out an area to make room for the gifts and moving all of his tools and it just hit me so hard that he is not here through all of this. I wish he was here to make a spot for my things and tell me what to buy or not and help us look for a house. He was so great with that stuff and my biggest supporter and I miss him terribly. I just want him back to give me a big hug Saturday morning and go 'WOW' when I am all dressed and ready to go. I'm trying to be so strong and not say anything to anyone, I know my mom would break down if I said anything....

I know some of you girls must be going through the same thing? There's just an empty hole in my heart. I miss him terribly. sorry to be so whiney and depressing, I just had to get this out.

Im with you!! I lost my mother 4 years ago. There are times when it really hits hard during this process. But it's ok to be upset and let it out. It helps. Keep him with you during this time. Think about him and talk about him. your mom probably needs the release as well.

thank you. I'm sooo sorry about your mom. I think you're right that this process just really makes it hit hard.

You are not whiney and depressing at all, although I am not going through your same situation my heart goes out to you and couldn't imagine having those feelings...by just reading your post I got teary eyed. Stay strong and know that he is there watching over you all the time...

I totally understand....My grandmother passed away a few months ago, she was only 69 (looking at her picture as we speak) and she WAS my Mother!! She was the ONLY person I could talk to that ever seemed to understand - I wish she could be here with me for all of this...I just keep trying to remind myself that really she IS here with me....I'm just trying my best to do things in a way that she would be proud.
I'm also going to be putting a Red Rose in my boK for her - She was Notorious for Red!!! She'll be walking down the aisle with me....Okay...I wish I could go on... but U know....

You are not being whiney or depressing at all. it's natural what you are feeling...you want you daddy there on your special day and everyday...but he IS with you, in your heart and in everything you do. This process definitely makes you think about those we've lost that mattered so much in our lives. I was very close to my grandmother who passed when I was 12...so long ago but I wish she was here to see me...but I know she's looking down from heaven.
Stay strong and talk with your mom...as someone else mentioned she's probably feeling the same. In the meantime we're here for you

I'm just a mess right now for some reason. We started doing our final 'To Do' list and I typed in 'Pick up Memorial Table Items for Daddy' and it just HIT ME so hard. I wish I was putting in Tux Measurements for him instead. He would have been so proud. oh crapola, here I go again WATERWORKS lol I'm a dope.

aww thats so hard! but know that he is still watching over you! and try to keep posative about all the wonderful things going on in your life!

Aww I'm so sorry!

My Uncle passed away last month and he was looking forward to the wedding soooo much! He loved to dance and loved parties of any kind. My cousin went to a psyhic last week and the psychic said my uncle said to go to the 'party' and have fun and dance for him. I get goosebumps when I think about it.

Its hard but you have to know that he's watching over you and wants you to have an amazing time. It's okay to be sad and miss him though.

I totally feel your pain!! I lost my mom 4 years ago!! Planning a wedding is so hard to do without one of you parents!! And I know exactly whaty you mean that sometimes it hits harder than others!! When you feel sad, cry & let it out!! YOu are not being whiney!! It does make you feel a lil better!! Feel free to Fm me if you ever want to talk!!
