shower seating question

as many of u know, i know about my shower lol. as of now 13 people are coming from fh's family. i dont want to split them up, can they all fit at one table? 1 is his goddaughter who is only 18 mths old. what do u think?

also, can i have two tables of 6? i know they can be combined but i rather put people together who are close.

eta; im not planning my shower, my mom just asked my imput on this lol

My mom asked me for the same input - I guess there's about 45 people and there are 2 tables of 6, 2 of 12 and one of 9. Only reason for the placecards - FH's parents are divorced and didn't think it would be too great having his mom and step-mom at the same table.

13 might be a bit tight I think, even 12 with a baby. I think my largest table was 9, and we had round tables. Depends how big the tables are really!

Is the table long or round? I think that would help in figuring out 13 vs 6 and 6

im almost positive they are round. how should his fam be split up if there are 13? there MIGHT be 14, but that is doubtful lol.

Also, I had one table of 4, one table of 3 that was supposed to be 4, and one table of 6 in addition to a 9 and an 8...so it really doesnt matter how it's broken down, we had very distinct family and friend units, so that's how it best worked for us.

did the tables look empty?

bc it looks like there would be a table of 9, 11, 11, 6, 6, and the random 13 that i dont know where to put lol

I would give the baby a spot without silverware to make it seem more full. Six at one table with the baby and seven at the other.
