I cannot believe it. I am on my bachelorette weekend and was having such a nice time and we saw my friend's sister and the first thing she says to me after 'Hello' is...So your shower is next week right?
I was like 'Well, I don't know?'
I am so bummed out. My family has done such a good job and I had no clue. What idiot asks someone that?? Grrrrrrrr.

Dont worry. Im getting ready for my surprise shower right now. My mom spilled the beans numerous times but i didnt have the heart to say I knew. You will have a lovely day no matter what!

Mine was ruined as well, so I know how you feel! At least you had some element of surprise almost to the end...mine was ruined in the beginning of December!!!

Apparently, there are areas of the country that don't give 'surprise showers'. They bride knows. This happened to my FSIL. Her friend from 'out of the area' (aka, MARS), said to her...'So, I'll see you at your shower next week!' While we were waiting for my FSIL at the shower...the girl has the nerve to come up to me...the MOH...and say, 'Debbie, I am sooooo sorry. I didn't know that the shower was a secret. When I spoke to Sarah last week, I said that I would see her at the shower.' My face probably looked like this I could feel the steam coming out of my ears. Some people are just clueless.

This seems to happen an awful lot. people are stupid.
Did it say surprise shower on the invite? I think that's important because well like i said people are stupid!
I would have said... 'are you talking about the surprise shower I'm not supposed to know about? If so, thank you for that!' I'm not joking either... that's EXACTLY what I would have said. I would have made the person feel bad for a second. maybe they will learn their lesson and not do that again to someone else.

Thanks guys. I knew you all would understand. The woman who told me isn't even invited - she's the sister of a good friend. SO annoying. I'm not going to tell my family. They would be so bummed out. And I guess the good thing is I can make sure I look great Saturday
