Shower surprise ruined - I'm I being a Bridezilla?
I mentioned to my mom that one of my friends (who is one of my BMs) had booked a vacation. I told her the dates and my mom pretty much told me that my friend will be missing my shower now and should have called my mom to check before she booked her trip.
I gave my sister (MOH) a list of the bridal parties email address. I feel like my sister could have sent an email out to the bridal party as soon as it was booked. I wish my mom hadn't been so straight with me which would have helped to throw me off.
So far I know my friend is leaving on a Saturday and coming back the following Saturday so I know its going to be one of those 3 days. I'm just upset the surprise is pretty much ruined.

Ugh I'm sorry you found out about your shower.
I basically found out when my shower is (march 31) and in a way I am glad. Trust me when you are down to the last 9-8 weeks of your wedding you will be surprised how much you need to get done over the weekends. At least I was able to plan around that weekend bc I found out. If not, I might have scheduled a meeting with my DOC, RH, officiant, a fitting or even a hair appointment. Just basic things you do over the weekend.

my aunt was a bit annoying. We were on the phone discussing wedding stuff. After she finished complaining about how the invitation was addressed, and that it was sent out too early, she THEN said, ' oh, there's a problem with your bridal shower' and I cut her off ASAP and said, 'yeah, I don't know anything about that. you have to talk to mom'

I hear ya.....FMIL ruined my surprise too. It does stink and you are not being a bridezilla. You have a right to be upset about that.

there ya go! that's the spirit! i think most girls showers wind up having the surprise ruined by someone. i totally knew when my shower was, but i made sure i had a nice new outfit and my nails done

I'm seeing some family tomorrow and I'm dreading it because my aunt ruined her daughter-in-law's shower and her own daugher's shower. And I think a few in between. I can almost guarantee that she will say something. grrr...

Exactly! I bought my shower outfit last night and scheduled a hair blow out for the morning of the shower. Make the most of it

I found out about my shower and was so upset the surprise was ruined, but honestly, in the end it didn't matter at all!! The shower was still wonderful and I had a great time
