I'm seriously so sick and tired of getting ripped off the minute you mention the word 'wedding.' I keep getting photography quotes for over $2,000, and that's almost five times the price of my dress, limos, and flowers combined! Does anyone have a recommendations for a photographer charging $1,500 or less?

Honestly, I think it is going to be hard to find a photographer not over $2000.

I agree -- unless maybe you aren't including albums in the price? I know that Silverfox has a la carte pricing so you can pick and choose what you want to include in the package. Good luck!

I booked Patken. I think they have extremely reasonable prices but it was over 2K

I'm going through the same thing. Isn't it ridiculous?? I too was looking for another photographer as my package is $4,200 for photos and DVD videos. I gave up when I was getting quotes for only like $100 cheaper, but had to buy little extras that still add up.
I just accepted the fact that they know we 'need' to hire these vendors for our 'special' day and that's how they get us. It's sickening
