Silk or Real?

Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to see if anyone here used silk flowers instead of real flowers for their bo-k's?
If you did, can you post pics and let me know where you got them from.
Also, are silk flower much more cheaper than Real flowers?

I did real flowers for my wedding. I never really thought about doing silk. I am not so sure if it is cheaper or not!

I am actually in a wedding on Saturday where we are using silk. I will post pictures when the wedding is over!

I used real flowers. They just add the final touch.

I've heard that silk flowers are cheaper than real flowers.

dh coworker did topiarys with silk flowers. her sister made them. no one knew they were fake.

I think for the bridesmaids real is better but you can definitely get away with silk for the cp's

I priced silk and it was more expensive. I had real since it was cheaper

Mine were silk and I loved them!!!!!!! People were commenting on how gorgeous they were and that they couldn't believe I didn't lose any petals. Then they found out they were silk. Where I went, silk and real were the same price. (Also, if you want real petals for your FG, check with where you have your ceremony!!! Many places don't allow real petals because they stain.)

Here's a few pics!!!

Nice silk flowers (that pass for real) are expensive. Look to pay about $5 and up per flower. A bouquet with 24 roses for example will cost at least $120.

I don't know the price difference, but my cousin had silk CP's and they were so gorgeous! I swear until I went to take the CP home, I had no idea they were silk. I was very happy b/c the CP was gorgeous, so I was happy to know I would have it forever!

Sorry to crash. I'm doing silk CP's. Normally they are more expensive than real ones if you use good silk flowers, but what we did was we went to AC Moore when their spring flowers were on sale and used the discount coupons and bought a little at a time. Turned out to be HUNDREDS of dollars CHEAPER and our guests will be able to take them home and have them forever. Also, if you buy the flowers and vases through AC Moore, they'll actually put all the CP's together for you for FREE. I had them do a sample one for me and it came out so amazing that I cancelled my contract with my florist! I also felt silk was more practical -- i hate to spend so much money on stuff thats going to die in 3 days.
