Silk/Satin flowers for flower girls?

Has anyone seen flower girls throw silk/satin flowers on a runner? I found some on theknot.com for $9.95/bag, and am considering this.

why not try..

FOr my wedding, we picked up some silk flowers on sale, either at Michaels or at any flea market..and pulled off the petals and used that. Just be sure to pick vivid colors...so that they will be picked up in your photos..
