OK..I am neurotic but it is getting close so here is my question...
My girls are wearing a strapless black dress in october so it could be warm could be cold..who knows =)..
I have been looking for shawls for them. I was thinking sheer simple black. I work in the city so I looked around here...even had my boss look when she went home to India etc...no luck. This si not there major gift just an addition inc ase they are cold so i was trying to keep price down especially since there are 7!I even thought about making them but i don't own a sewing machine.
So the thing i have found is those faux pashimans whihc are actually nice and could be used alot but i am not sure if the thick balck will go with a more fancy material dress and if it will look too dark..Bottom line is it is only for warmth though..
So my question is do i get these for them or do i tell them to get something in case it is cold on thier own? Thanks for your help!

Re: Silly Shawl Question
Do you mean like in case they are cold inside the reception hall? Or, outside while taking pics (don't even know if you're doing that).
If you want to get them the wraps, then go ahead...but I think your girls understand that they are wearing a strapless dress in October...and since they know the dress does not come with it's own shawl, they may bring something along with them that day for warmth.

Re: Silly Shawl Question
My wedding was late October last year and the girls did get chilly and used the sheer black wraps that I bought for them as part of their bridal gift. I bought them at Macy's for about $20/25 when they went on sale. The other day I saw some at a Loemans (sp?) for about $15-20. Not sure what your budget is. I figure it was a gift they could use again and I knew for a fact at least three of the girls have used them again.
